Ha! The Paladins! I played at Chaminade. Are you old enough to remember a player from Couth Plantation named Carl Hudson? He ran a 9.7 100 (yards) and we we worried about facing him. Fortunately, he got thrown in jail the week we played South Plantation.

Dunno about all this raw speed stuff - but I do know that Billy Cannot was the strongest sprinter and the fastest shot-putter the nation has ever produced.

Yeah = Cannon is still my favorite Tiger - just ahead of Jimmy Taylor and dozens of others

If LSU would've had him at DE like so many Ranters wanted back then, maybe Plumlee would not have been able to break so many long runs.

Probably. His calves are so big when you see them in person.

And since they don’t have Carter’s 10.09 on that list of players...I guess they don’t consider him a football player...lol.

Conclusion: Trindon's legs were short AF - with his foot turnover, if his legs were just 2 - 3 inches longer, he would have been the fastest human in history.

FTFY

(ETA: What I'm saying is - in a 100m run, Trindon needed about 42 strides to cover the distance, while his 5'10 to 6'1" competitors typically took 34 to 36 strides, and he was still right there.)
