Hes comparing stats from a two-yr starter, to a freshman who didnt start until the 4th game and trying to say the passing game was better over an entire yr?

i realize jefferson is older than Lee was,(this isn't againest Lee which you can't understand with your hate for Jefferson)

i looked it up because someone posted how last season our passing attack was so much better than it is now

Then use the whole damn yr.

JLee was not the starter. He was the #2QB. And thrown under the bus after Hatch went down. Hes an LSU athlete that was booed by immature pricks. But JJ was the starter, for the entire yr, and he produced the worst offense in memory.

And you're defending that. By comparing him to the 2nd string QB from another yr. So your argument is, JJ is proved his worth by producing similar or worse numbers to a 2nd string QB. yeah, right.

You want to compare passing offenses from yr to yr as your thread was titled, then use the whole yr, not just hand-picked stats.

ETA: Only in games started.

it was interesting cause i thought Lee had better passing numbers(just Yards and Tds) but that's not the case

RobbBobb Lee was a Redshirt Freshman last year, and was actually (age wise) older than Jefferson is now. And don't act like he was our poor backup who should have never seen the field (I mena he shouldn't have but for RP reasons also he was really bad) but he was in the mix to start the whole year, and Hatch eventually returned and Lee still started.

32 sacks.....

well, ill give half those sacks to JJ and half to the Oline. JJ needs to improve on his drops, pocket presence, and indecisiveness. Thats alot to work on, but something that just comes with time and experience and understanding of the offense and play calls. He will get better by next year.

I hope the Oline improves as well but more importantly in the run game, because we must be able to run the football for a Miles team to be successful. In our case we must run to set up the pass. If your the Colts or Saints, you pass to set up the run.

RobbBobb,

if Lee was so good last year (2008), why did hatch beat him out in the spring and the fall?

was hatch a better QB than him?

and lo and behold, he was beaten out again in the spring and the fall this year...

WEIRD!

oh, and you need to grow up.

how old are you anyways honestly?

The sacks can be attributed to the Oline

So to recap, without sack yardage,
we lost about 30 yards rushing per game this season. Not as drastic as most people think, but still bad.

Well, some very important hidden yardage was a huge factor in '08:
Opponents' INTs/yards returned--18 for 461.
LSU--8 for 51.

Imagine if those "stats," for '08, were actually true? Because THEY'RE NOT.

In 2008, LSU QBs were sacked a total of 24 times in 13 games.

J. Lee had 10 of them, 5 in the 8 games he started.
Hatch had 5, in the 3 games he started.
Jefferson had 9, 6 of them in the 2 games he started.

RobbyBobby's back? He's a genius, you know. Just ask him, he loves to be the one to tell you so.

Someone told me (I don't read his posts--and never will--because there are enough insufferable pricks in real life, who needs a "virtual one?") that he was defending J. Lee over JJ, as usual.

You may want to tell him that LSU had three QBs start in the 13 games LSU played in 2008. Lee started 8 of them and played extensive minutes in 3 other games, Hatch started 3 and Jefferson started the last 2 (counting the bowl game).

Also, he claims JJ is a "2-year starter?" He only started the 2008 reg. season finale (a loss to Arky) and the bowl beatdown of GA Tech, in which he earned the Offensive MVP award. He also didn't start a game, which Lee did (and won) this season, and we can all recall just how magical Gen. Lee was in that game, not to mention (oh well, let's mention it anyway) just how awesome Lee was in the 'Bama loss, generating 4 net yards in total offense in the 4th quarter. This dude left the reservation long ago...
