Its just funny to me how we are 5-1 and we loose one game to the #1 ranked Florida Gators and its time to Crucify Miles. But hey..... thats why we are all getting paid to be the head coaches somewhere.
True but this isnt from one bad game, and you know this.

This is not corect. Saban did not announce he was leaving to go to Miami until December 26 in Orlando. By that time Florida had hired Meyers, SC had hired Spurrier, and no other top teir coaches were available. Remember Saban recommended Houston Nutt, I sure at the urging of his agent. Suffice it to say Saban screwed us when he left trying to get one of his agents, Larry Sextons, client hired at LSU. Just one ore reason to hate Saban.
Fair enough...did not do the research. I was just responding to someone who said Spurrier was available, and I was pretty certain he was not...just didn't know it was USC that had already scooped him up.

I noticed the same people that defended dinardo are the ones defending miles and they are ones that couldn't stand saban.

And my point was that Spurrier was available, up until a week before Saban used LSU as leverage with Miami, and then USC gave Spurrier the choice of signing or they were moving on to the next choice. Spurrier wanted to coach and Saban had no reason to leave.

True or false?
When Saban left LSU, Steve Spurrier was the coach of the gamecocks.

He has, but is record at MSU was still unspectacular as was Clevelands record when he was the DC there.

I was the only one of my friends that was pumped about the hire.
I didn't know that much about him at the time. I was just glad we were willing to pay someone

That's not how I remember it, but I will take your word for it....and if what you say is true, we dropped the ball not going after him.

True and False, as I said, Saban used USC's timetable with Spurrier against Miami. Spurrier wanted to come to LSU. Saban bolted for Miami about 2 days after Spurrier signed with USC.

sorry, you are incorrect. He signed with USC in Nov 2004. Saban did not leave LSU until 12/25. I even remember Lee Corso saying he should have waited.

No, but when a coach leaves you, you just gotta take what you can get.
I appreciate what he's done, but I got off the bandwagon again. He's not getting it done with the masses of talent we have.
Crowton as a HC at LSU...

Was Miles the right choice?
1) wasn't happy about the hire.
2) wasn't happy that he didn't take the michigan job even tho we won the sec and bcs.
3) sure not happy with him now.
hopefully he's gone after the 2010 season.

Makes me also think back to all of those who wanted Jack Del Rio.
