Thats funny right there.
what's even more funny is that you actually believe you are right...if you only knew how stupid that made you look....wow

Maybe not by simple minded LSU fans, but by the coaching community, he is well respected. Do you really think coaches of the quality of Bo Pelini, John Chavis, Ron Cooper, etc. would leave current employment to work for a man that was not respected in their profession? No one should be that dense.
you have to understand...if you left the coaching decisions to kids like these...they would be replacing coaches in mid-season every time they saw a team that LOOKED good....such as oregon, boise, etc.....hell look at the cinn coach last year...killing everyone.....how's he panning out this year at notre dame...can't even beat toledo...you telling me toledo has more talent than ND?

Hilarious. I would love to hear Miles's views on our current credit collapse and economic depression and his views on Gresham's Law as it applies to the FX market. I'm pretty sure if you asked him about Gresham's Law you would get a blank stare.

I believe if periloux had worked out the offense would be different and we probably wouldnt be having this conversation. Winning a nc with a joe blow's recruits aint bad.

Please explain upon what you are basing your belief that Miles is not respected in the coaching community. This I can not wait to hear. Listen up everybody a truly brilliant observation is forthcoming.

dude, there is no use. you're probably debating with a 14 year old or someone who has the mentality of a 14 year old. you can't talk rational with ignorance.
i'm not thrilled with les's organizational skills or lack there of that show up on the football field. however, i do recognize the man isn't stupid, dumb, an idiot. you don't get a masters in economics from michigan, succeed to the tune of 4 million a year, and be a dumb arse.

whether you dislike the guy as a football coach is one thing..but to call him stupid.......says a lot about you
Hello pot, meet kettle...of course I'm sure you're gonna reach for the sky to find some way that "proves" your situation is different and justified though.

Oh, I realize that. Sometimes I just really want an explanation behind a hit and run negative comment. It's so easy to do (hit and run) with no thought other than personal feelings. I just want to see if this idiot can back up his opinion with a half way intelligent argument. Bet he does not answer.

Although the money was a huge factor, I also think it had to do will the LSU admins basically saying this to Miles...
quote:
You're the one that fought and begged for 3-year contracts for all your assistants, so no way we're paying that kind of money to buyout an OC that you fought for. He's yours til his contract ends. Deal with it.

Ask BelowPar, that was his understanding of the situation at one point early this year.
yea he was dead on, on this one....
i know for a fact that CLM went to Crowton mid to late in the 2009 season and ask him to stay...

Laugh all you want, but his sources are solid. Because the powers that be said no to the buyout of Crowton at almost $1 mil. does not lessen Below Par's info that Miles wanted to dump Crowton.

Miles did not want to let Crowton go.... Crowton was considering leaving and was ask to stay...i know this to be a fact!
but i will tell you that im not sure Crowton remains after this year... both internal and external pressure may force this change. And the foundation CLM has stood on for support has began to crumble..regardless of being 7-1

Ok, not doubting you. Could you shed a little light on the situation?

just that i know someone very..VERY close to the situation

Like the other guy, I'm not doubting your info, but you also have to take into account the motivations for someone telling you something like that.
Who does it make look better? Who does it make look worse? People paint things all the time to make a certain party look better.

You would think that Gonzalez the same guy that produced big name WR like Harvin would not have WR dropping balls. I say keep Gonzalez at WR coach and get a new OC.

i could accept your reasoning and and i understand your skepticism but i wasnt that far removed from the situation..
and fyi...i have no clue about this year..lips have gotten very tight...
