A father in our neighborhood played OL with Les at Meeeeeeshigan. He did not have anything positive to say about The Hat. On the other hand, I spoke with Charles Davis and he thought CLM was a great hire and an amazing coach.

Wasn't a great OL recruiter. Recruited a bunch of guards and less athletes for the OT positions.
He coached them up just fine and we ran the ball well, but the OL was not helped by our scheme against teams like Bama. They knew what we were doing every play.

Miles like to simply bully teams by pounding the ball down their throat. Against most teams it would work and they would wear down in the second half. With teams that could match up with his line and talent that shite didn't work and was painful to watch. He did have a punishing running attacked that worked a lot.
