I've been tracking the ELO rankings posted by Warren Nolan throughout the year. In my opinion, it is the best way to rank teams without bias and a much better method than RPI. After last night's win against LA Tech, LSU has jumped to #12 in this ranking.

While I think we are a little high here (NC State at #10 looks odd as well), it certainly shows this team can be dangerous over the last stretch. I am not a sunshine pumper when it comes to this team, particularly in regards to the bullpen, but I'm cautiously optimistic we will go 4-2 or 5-1 to close out SEC play and have a legit shot to win a regional as a 2 or 3 seed.

I just want to make a regional. D1 Baseball had us as first five out on their most recent predictions.

We're dangerous if we put it together... especially if Hilliard can go long in game 3s like he's shown.

The little things... get Milazzo out of 9 and into 8 hole. Get Bianco off 2B. Manage the BP better... we have guys who have shown life there.
