It’s the image of a university that comprises so much of its value. I’ve watched JA fail at this time and time again. I sat in FKA’s legislative hearing where he requested money from the state. He gave the most incoherent rambling mess of a speech. They are both terrible communicators, relative to the demands of their positions. So for one, they need to improve public relations.

If the Wade situation gets more people red pilled to F. King and Alleva then so be it, but don't act like everyone was ok with what they were doing before Wade.
Beyond athletics, LSU is a fricking mess. Credit F. King for that.

Louisiana needs a vital and strong LSU as a TRUE flagship university. Sports are great for school pride, marketing but folks should be more concerned about LSU's meager academic standing compared to other public universities.
I would imagine that LSU has loyal, wealthy donors whose single donation is larger than the aggregate of all Rant posters. Regardless, if you're an alumni, you should contribute what you can to further LSU's mission in Louisiana.
Will Wade is NOT LSU. It existed before he arrived and will move forward with or without him. He is certainly not blameless in this fiasco. Not just the appearance or substance of the wiretaps but because he has failed to cooperate or be forthright with the Administration.

Right now, contributing money to LSU under Alexander is throwing it down a hole. If you want to do that, fine. Most people don’t much enjoy doing that.

All the Admins at LSU need is more donated money and more force donations from taxes to make LSU competitive on a whole. All of the scandals and corruption and faculty anger is simply because there isn’t enough money. I got it now. It has nothing to do with incompetence or politics.

I totally agree. LSU should and could be a very strong academic university and F. King Alexander has failed completely at his mission. Aleva has also failed at his mission as AD, both of these missions work side by side and cannot really succeed without the other. Aleva and Alexander both must go!

Exactly. So why should I donate money that will be misused by imbeciles who have proven they will mismanage everything?
Do you want the best leadership possible at LSU? Or would you like to donate your money to leadership that has proven to be incompetent at every turn just so you can feel good about supporting your alma mater?
F. King is the single biggest hindrance to LSU moving up academically. F. King and Alleva are the biggest hindrances to LSU moving up athletically. Sending these two jackasses money does not help LSU. Period.

There were posts about the teams being ranked, but I can promise you there was posts about Alleva and F King. This goes back to the les miles debacle. Even before that really.

It wasn’t the actual tapes that got people here riled up. It was the complete meltdown by the administration in how they handled it. Including letting their fricking attorney get into a childish pissing match with Wade via the Advocate. That’s how they’ve always reacted to adversity. They’re terrible at crisis management. Look how they handed Les’ last 2 years.
Then the freaking $400k fraudulent money shite popped up. Then the OLOL stuff. Then the story of 4 IT employees making bank living in Illinois came off as s huge typical backroom Louisiana political deal.
The university is a damn mess and as an alum twice over, I will continue to buy my tickets to football and baseball but their new fundraising campaign won’t see a dime from me. I’ll only continue to donate via medical school direct fundraisers only.
