Yikes. Great ambassador and glad we can claim him as own own and a Tiger for life.

Man I used to have his rookie card when I was a kid, he had hair back then… a flat top.

Yep I still have a couple in those hard plastic covers. Unlike the old days so many cards that were produced out there now probably won’t be worth much.

That’s cool you still got em & in cases don’t really care about bout price means more to me just being from my childhood… I do have in a hard case a frank Thomas rookie card, it’s really my wife’s but we have it.

Man we all did that as kids with their favorite players. They are kind of fun to look at every 5 years to remind myself what I actually have. I did that during Covid and my two of my most interesting cards that I had forgotten about are a Michael Jordan baseball upper deck card with the White Sox and and a Ken Griffey rookie that I got in a Post cereal box that was a limited set of like 30 different players.
So I have that going for me.

I have his cards as well. I was at my parents house last weekend and my son and I went up in the attic and got them, and I gave it them to him. Was a really great experience to explain to him who Shaq was.
My dad use to be friends with an old Video Connection store owner. He gave me an advertisement piece of a life size poster of Shaq. It had it on my wall throughout my childhood next to my bunk bed, for size reference…lol.
I worked at the PMAC during college and got to meet him multiple times and he’s one of the nicest people you will meet. Really awesome when your childhood idol turns out to be what you expect them to be.

Very cool being able to hand those down to your son that’s awesome.

Shaq is truly one of the good guys. We're so lucky to be able to claim him as a Tiger.
