You have lost your mind.
There was a thread ranking our RBs since 2000. I had Ridley around third or fourth.

I think anyone who denies he is one of the top backs we've had this decade is crazy.
Broussard's ypc in 2004 was through the roof, at 6.1. That is crazy good.
Addai's was just slightly better than Ridley's, whereas Ridley was better than Hester in this department.
YPC clearly accounts for what you guys are talking about. Broussard did have a really good year in 2004. I'll give you that.
An argument can be made for Addai, but his numbers don't add up. I think he was hampered by injuries (still is). He certainly was a play maker, but Ridley has better numbers. There is just no way around it. More yards. More TDs.
Hester had more yards, but as I discussed already, Ridley would likely pass Hester if he can play in the Cotton Bowl.
Hester has more TDs than any of them. He has more than Broussard 04 and Addai 05 combined.
Anyways, THE POINT is that it is stupid to eliminate Ridley from the discussion.
Your mocking tone just makes you look dumb.

I would take addai 8 days a week over ridley and anyone who wouldn't is just crazy

And my team with Ridley would beat your team's arse when Addai gets hurt in week 5.

so ridley essentially fails stat wise relative to the other backs and eye test wise. he's not that good. he played so much this year as outside of Murphy all of his competition was freshmen backs. Every year prior to that save for 2008 with Scott LSU backs had plenty of competition. he speaks well and runs hard with heart so he's awesome i guess.

Ridley would have failed some classes by week four. cheap shot boom!!11

How did you get that impression? He was on track to get more yards than Hester, and had a similar ypc to Addai with a lot more yards than him. He also has a lot more TDs than either Broussard or Addai.
I think the lesson here is that Ridley's stats are comparable if not better than lot of the good backs we've had here.
I don't get how you understood my posts to indicate Ridley had "failed."

To who?
With second worst line of the decade, he recorded the 3rd highest yardage and the second highest amount of TDs

He didn't fail, he cheated. Wait. Touche.

he's also the 2nd back in the decade to have a year all to himself. try again.

For my money, since 2000:
1. Toefield
2. Addai
3. Ridley
4. Hester
5. Broussard
6. Scott
7. Davis
8. Williams (would be higher if used correctly)
9. Vincent (would probably be #1 in a world without Bogies)
1. Toefield
2. Addai
3. Ridley
4. Hester
5. Broussard

Dominick Davis at 7 is a joke.

Ridley shared carries this year with Murphy, Blue, and Ford.
Ridley 225: carries
Everyone else: 129 carries
Ridley got about 66% of the carries, more or less.

oh god what competition, a guy who can't beat Tbob in a 40 yd dash and two freshmen. one of which supposedly is having problems with the playbook.

Its not about their quality. The RBBC argument hinges on production per carry. Hence, it is all about number of carries.
My point is that Ridley didn't get all the carries.

Total carrries:
Ridley - 225 (2010)
Hester - 225 (2007)
Scott - 217 (2008)
Thats the only three years we didn't have an injury at the RB position.

Why?
He was a backup and return specialist

if you can't stay eligible, you don't deserve to play...ever
it's so easy to stay "eligible"

that same backup ran for 1000 yds in the NFL, led the Tigers in rushing in 2002, and made an all-SEC team.
