And FYI, the main reason why the other thread was anchored was because this was the first time I have seen the voting open for the band and not just who should win the title.
Admins really need to sticky this....of the teams listed we prob have the single largest online community right here.

they just dont have the punch LSU does...may be a numbers thing but LSU just has an overwhelming blast the other bands dont, also may be a product of being indoors

LSU sounds so much louder because the band plays together well. The instrumentation is also set up so it doesn't get too top heavy (although sometimes it can seem like it with probably too many trumpets)

no they still have to be consistentwith one another and play the song well or else it would just be a louder version of crap

playing in the indoor sucks because the sound is bouncing back from all over the place. i'm willing to be Auburn has a bigger band because they don't cut. Plus 325 seems huge, but take out 20 or so for flags, 14 for golden girls, and a drum major and its an average sized college band I bet (im not claiming to know the size of every band, just that from what i can tell, LSU is of average to a little above average in size)

Auburn does have a good band though. Their director got his degree from LSU too.

Auburn is bigger in number (375ish, I think), but certainly not in sound or musicianship.
