Titan - fwiw, Peterson would have walked into an NFL camp and made the team as a true freshman - 2 years ago. I don't think Berry could have done that. And I love Berry's play.

He's a baller, hard hitter, fantastic safety.

Peterson is an anomaly.

Here will be the problem jones has. 1. His qb suck gorilla knuts
2. His offensive won't be able to block our blitzing package or our dline. 3. At some point in time they will have to punt. Better hope peterson doesn't have a chance to field it. PP7 alone could score more than there offense

He has a better chance getting away with robbing a gas station with his UT gear

He was never involved in the off the field issues we have had.

I agree with Jones. PP is not superman. Yes, he's faster than a speeding bullet and more powerful than a locomotive, but I haven't seen anything indicating he can leap over tall buildings in a single bound.

But he blocks field goals.

Jones has sealed his fate. He won't catch a pass Saturday.

I e mailed the quote to my UT friend who is coming with me to the game. He has been to every home game the last 10 years, verbatim response:

"Jones has never been that next level type of receiver. i guess he just wants to make sure that remains the case."

Don't fear the Possum.

I'm glad to see G. Jones ready to play. He is a great player. Not Peterson great, but a great player. Jones' problem in his career is that he always has these random injuries that sit him the sideline. This was the first year he was healthy for the season opener...then he broke his hand. If Jones is 100% there is no doubt in my mind that he will be a difference maker for our offense. Like TitanVol said, he's not worried about playing against top notch players on defense. He will be ready. Whether or not he can get the best of Peterson is yet to be determined.

Regardless the outcome, at least he's trying to light a fire for the Vols to come in there and compete. Peterson will have his number and it will be an exciting match-up

This guy went up against Eric Berry everyday in practice for three years, do you honestly think hes scared on Peterson. If you do your tripping

since when was Berry a lock down cover corner?

You cant compare a safety to a corner....

I say we will throw to Moore to start and once your freshman CBs can't cover him PP has to come over and Jones will torch your defense.

Berry has the NCAA record for most INT return yards as a Frosh FWIW. This is possibly the dumbest comment I've read regarding the two players considering Berry had a better freshman season than Peterson.
