“According to sources #Tennessee is prepared to make Tony Vitello the highest paid college baseball coach in the country.”

And if Woodward wants him he will outbid them. IF Woodward wants him. I’m tired of these frickers thinking Tennessee baseball is superior to LSU. If LSU wants him they will get him.

That’s how I knew he wasn’t coming. Tennessee was going to match anything LSU had on the table.

This is why Sexton is smart to keep his mouth shut and Tony too. The smallest perception of a big payday somewhere else can make you money and lots of it. The LSU opening is resetting the market by a lot.

If they do that, they can keep him. He is absolutely not deserving of being the highest paid coach in college baseball based on his resume and accomplishments.
That is hilarious.
That is hilarious.

It's good to be Tony Vitello right now.

There’s nothing saying they would match. He’s had 1.4 mill contract on his desk for 2 weeks now....

Time to move on to another coach, Sexton doing his thing. He just leveraging LSU for more money out of TN, he doesn't an to leave.

College sports are crazy
We don’t even know if LSU has given TV the time of day and TN is about to make him the highest paid coach in the country.
I’ve seen it mentioned that TV is a Sexton client but no confirmation but this is classic Sexton.

Jayson Swain is a former football player who probably doesn't have real sources on this.

Is the prevailing thought that if it isn't Vitello it's Johnson?

I wonder how much it costs to make him the highest paid coach instead of committing to facility upgrades.

Baseball is by far and away the best thing Tennessee has going right now. They don't want to frick it up, so they will probably try to overpay to keep Vitello.

And now they get up to what? 3M to keep him?
If I am Tony the Tiger, I am asking why was I not worth an additional M or more to you 2 weeks ago?

He’s been hosting a local radio show for a decade. He gets more than random message boarders.

Coincidentally, LSU is also willing to make him the highest paid coach
