Just seems like a short time hire given his age.

Just need seven years from Corbin.

You've been steadfast with your source. You said you have two different sources now saying it is Corbin? Makes me hope they lose tonight so we can see what happens.

Well, that would be the biggest homerun LSU could possibly make but I don't believe you.

Incorrect. That would be McDonnell. Corbin is right there, though.

The concern with Corbin is that he's older and also Opportunity Vanderbilt. We would be getting him at the apex of his career but how much longer is he going to be on top? Is it only downhill from here? Do you shoot for a rising star or one that's high in the sky with no place to go but down? Is LSU his golden parachute?

Also, none of us know how well he would do without the advantage he receives from Opportunity Vanderbilt. That's why his rosters are always loaded. Can he do the same thing here without that advantage? He's admitted himself that it's an advantage. I think he would definitely take a step back. The question is, how far back?

I'm not saying Corbin wouldn't be a home run hire but to say that he's the best candidate available just isn't true. Dan McDonnell at Louisville is the most sure thing in college baseball right now. The fact that every name but his has been floated is disturbing. Then again, this could be Woo4Dward Chess.
