G'day guys

I'm from Australia, but I'm coming into Baton Rouge for the weekend of the Alabama game.

I have managed to get two tickets in 207. Cost me a small fortune given how weak our currency is at the minute (I hope nobody is going to tell me these are bad seats…).

I have already had some excellent advice from a former Aussie and BR resident about what to see and do while we're in town. However, in terms of game day itself, I was wondering:

- How early we should get into the stadium.

- What we should do prior to the game. For example, I know the Saints have a pregame entertainment package at Champions Square for $95 pp. I assume LSU doesn't have any equivalent events, and it's probably not the best way to experience the pregame atmosphere anyway.

- What we should bring.

- Where we should go that is fun/safe while we wait for traffic to clear after the game. We won't be driving, so assume we will need to Uber to/from the stadium. I have no issues waiting around for a few hours after at a bar so long as its safe and we can keep sinking beers.

We will of course be decked out in full LSU purple and gold if that counts for anything. I have been to Tiger Stadium once before (my girlfriend never has) for the Razorbacks game in 2019, but it was a bus in and out of New Orleans type deal. This time promises to be much more immersive.

Thanks in advance for any tips - and geaux Tigers!

That's awesome, thanks mate - I definitely will. I'm not sure if there's a PM feature still on this site or if I need to email you.

Uber to L'Auberge Casino. Take bus from Casino to and from game. Drink and gamble after game until you are ready to Uber to hotel.

Regrettably not. Does he live here? There's only about 120 of us in this country so I'm surprised that I don't, though we are spread out across a surface area nearly equal to that of the US.

Not sure. Seattle or Portland, maybe. He says “mate” a lot and spells colors “colours”.

I'm a big fan of Australia; I was there in Sydney on holiday last month. I hope you have a great time in BR for the game and I hope you meet and make some lifelong friends.

Watch the players walk down victory hill, watch the band march down victory hill, get into the Stadium and hour before game time.

Times of interest will usually be posted Tiger Droppings the day before the game I believe.
