That's why they have another witness(es), and apparently DNA. They aren't solely going on Lowery's statements, you dolt.
where in the frick did I say it completely exonerates JJ? the police have supposedly several pieces of evidence and semper fail's statement and version of events is one of those pieces. this potentially takes that statement off the table as far as a useful piece of evidence against JJ. I don't understand why you're having such a tough time with this.

It's not about him playing it's about taking the bad publicity of LSU and what they world thinks of lsu and the football players and telling the truth.

You are wrong. The driver of the truck was supposedly there to pick up a friend. That is the one who was pulled out and the one who suffered the three cracked vertebrae. Nothing to do with Lowery.

Lowery's lawyer said he was never at the bar and showed up later to pick up a friend

i just want all the facts to come out.

tired of seeing our players getting shite on for an incident they possibly did not instigate.

If as much effort had been spent developing Jefferson as a QB over the past 3+ years as has been expended trying to get him off the hook over the past 3 weeks, I might actually care. I don't want anything bad to happen to any of our players, but when all I see on the lead page a few days in advance of a huge game is a bunch of threads appealing a decision made by our head coach instead of rallying behind the players that aren't being questioned about possible wrong-doing, it just makes me want to puke. We aren't trying to reinstate Dan Marino here, so from a football standpoint, let's get behind Lee and Mett and the rest of their teammates and let the legal system work. If the case was botched, it will be apparent soon enough. Until that runs its course, then enough of Unglesby's hype and let's play ball
I don't think the people who are siding with the right to due process here are trying to get Jefferson back for this game because I think it would be too much of a distraction. However getting the ball rolling matters a great deal and in order for him to be back by say game 3 it would only be right for his suspension to be lifted. Doesnt mean CLM plays him in the Oregon ,as JL has already been named the starter.

and here lies the issue i have with some of our fans

No shite. So because he isn't a great QB we should just let him rot?

fricking idiots.

Edit: Our favorite resident troll Max started that thread making fun of us being all upset over a qb that sucked (paraphrasing). Newsflash: It has nothing to do with him as a QB it's a kid who got pulled into a shitstorm by a douche that was begging to be beaten.

Agree. I like JL as a QB better, but JJ shouldn't go to jail over this.

No one should have been arrested, they all should have received a summons for disturbing the peace through fistic encounter.

Highly unlikely, even with a conviction, but that's our legal system.

Exactly all the rantards out there saying the only reason we think JJ should have a fair shake is because he is our QB but by his logic if he was good enough it would be ok too fight for him.

thats because they never interviewed the employees are looked at the tape from inside...which is mind bottling

At this point, how many ppl do you think the cops have interviewed? 20? 30? No way in hell they'd arrest JJ without solid evidence. The cops bent over backwards for JJ. Anytime the cops have "ten witnesses claiming that John Doe kicked a guy in the head", John Doe would have been arrested that night.

You can keep typing it, but it ain't true. This was never stated. A reporter said that Bienvenu stated his clients were not even at the bar and just there to pick up a friend. This was assumed to mean all his clients. He later clarified that only the driver was there to pick up a friend. Lowery was at the bar already and after seeing the fight jumped in to help the driver. The same statement as Lowery. Did you really expect him to contradict his own client?

Are they still sticking to the story that Lowery didn't know the other "victims" or is that one gonna change too?

If JJ really is innocent, I hope his lawyer rips the BRPD apart for the way they handled this.

This video is extremely important. Jefferson's lawyer today stated that the only charges against JJ is the kick to the head of Lowery. The truck victims injuries are not being charged to JJ.
