Woodward knew Jay could get whatever NIL he needed to get players so he didn’t allocate any more than he had too for baseball.
Yes and no. Some SEC schools were allocated $3Mil for baseball annually. Good luck getting that annually from boosters for baseball. On top of the $3Mil revenue share, those schools are also getting NIL deals so LSU baseball boosters are further behind.

LSU coaches are going to require some updated facilities soon. Hopefully TAF has all of that squared away because Jay, Mulkey and new basketball coach are going to hit them all at once.

Tennessee was not one of them.

It was another feather on the scale tipping the decision for their coach to leave for the pros. White had the same viewpoint as Woody that Tony could still go get who he wanted and could raise his own money to do it.

It's not necessarily about giving Jay everything he asks for, it's about just not piling up the decisions that make the job a little harder than it could be.

This is what we call the curse of competence or performance punishment in the workplace where my hard working and trusting employees get more (important) work and the lazy ones get lighter workloads. Leads to resentment over time.

Off topic, but if you should watch the Bussin’ with the Boys episode from yesterday. Vitello was on, and was excellent. I’ll actually miss him in college baseball.

At this point Jay is bigger than LSU. He could go anywhere out west and write his own check.

What year is it? Nobody out west spends money on baseball.

Arizona State is starting to.

This is not me saying Jay will leave LSU for Arizona State. I'm just mentioning that Arizona State has significantly upped their commitment to baseball in the last couple years. They are pretty much the only ones though.
