MSY-BHM is 600-700.
MSY-MEM is 500-600
MSY-BNA is 400-500
MSY-CHS is 600-700
MSY-DFW is 200-300
I just booked (I typically only fly AA)
MSY-BWI for 450 on SWA
MSY-IAH for 350 on UA

Flights from Houston are less than $300 roundtrip for the weekend.

Did I say they were free? I paid face for great seats. and you probably dont need to tell someone not to complain about something......which is another inaccurate assumption on your part. Not so much complaining but more just looking for some dialog on what others paid or what their plan was. Some people understood the assignment. you however, did not

I hate when people come here to post the cheapest option on spirit or frontier. That’s probably an overnight flight with a 10 hr layover & you still have to pay for seats, bags, etc

If you're flying out of LA, arriving at a decent time on that thursday/friday and leaving that monday. After baggage, fees, taxes, trip insurance and everything else, I guarantee you spent close to $1000/ person. That or you booked your flight in 2023. Anyone else is either not actually going, lying or their wife bought their tickets and didn't tell them the real final cost.

I got lucky 2 weeks ago when I was taking a shite and was able to book flights with Southwest points for less than 30,000 points. Normal $ would’ve been around $350

There are other options besides coming in Friday and leaving Monday
I booked a few months ago for less than 300 bucks by picking Saturday- Tuesday. I picked a super early time on Saturday so I could enjoy the full day there. But trying to find one at this point is like finding a flight out of NY on Christmas Eve. You can do it but you’re going to pay.
