All of this talk about Jacksonville, Charlotte, and Atlanta. Wouldn't it make more sense just to move it to Baton Rouge. Not having to worry about a neutral site???

USC is going to do everything in their power not to fully give up a home game. If they were actually a good team this year, they wouldn't even be thinking about BR IMO.

Tech is used to hosting games because of SEC athletics weather issues...

BR is a last resort.

The fact that this is a conference game makes it completely different than the LSU/ASU situation ten years ago.

Charlotte, Atlanta, Nashville, Jacksonville are all places I'm sure they're trying to make work before resorting to BR.

They'd probably want New Orleans before BR.

Was that the year Georgia won the tournament with like 3 conference wins?

meh. this isn't a normal situation.

I don't really get what moving the game time back would do though. I'm sure LSU will have the field ready to go no matter what time the game starts

Certainly could happen.

Doesn't mean it's not a last resort. It's hard for an NFL stadium (whose tenant may have a home game Sunday) to throw together staff, police officers, concessions, etc. in 3-4 days notice.

But I'm sure SCAR is still asking those stadiums.

Same, but it's not like BR is forever away or anything...

The ticket situation would be so much easier if the game is in Tiger Stadium as opposed to the Dome.

Re ESPN coverage,do they not need time to get all their production crew/equipment set up? Would 36/24 hrs notice give them that time? Everyone here makes it sound like all ESPN has to do is flip a switch to a certain channel.

This weekend is fall break for the Law schook and it would be a lot of fun to go party in Nola for an LSU game which hasn't been done since my freshman year of undergrad for 1/9.
