Would keep Moffitt ahead of Savage

Moffitt could pay his own way - daddy makes enough $. He doesn’t need to take up a scholarship.

Tyler Taylor

I search for news about him every now and again. I even check with court records (yes, I know I’m weird). There’s even less out there than there is on Ingram.
The only thing I see that can give you any information about his status is his Twitter feed. He seems positive mentally, even though he doesn’t talk about his criminal case or its status.

Are you saying we have to cut 27 for the upcoming class? How many of those are seniors/declare early in your opinion?

No, we have to cut 2 to get to 85, I included all the players from the 2019 signing class

This team is absolutely loaded. This is the best team since 2011-12 in my opinion.

Would be nice, but is pretty expensive for an additional 15 four year scholarships. Would like to see the 105 limit increased. Lot of talented kids just never get a chance at D-1.

Giles is graduating soon. That should give you an idea of his plans for next season. Would not be surprised to see another receiver leave.

If not, I'd have to think Moffit would be asked to walk on.

Zach Von Rosenberg may be a walk-on also. He played minor league baseball for a long time.

I thought ZVR was awarded one last year...

Nice posting.

If LSU is sitting at 87 currently then I can assure you getting to 85 won't be a problem. In fact, more likely would be LSU entering game #1 with only 82-83 "scholarship caliber" players. Hampton from TN may well choose professional baseball for example.

I don't consider giving multiple walk-ons an unused scholarship ideal. Great for those kids/families though of course.

Two things jumped out to me looking at roster breakdown...

1. Numbers at OLine have been fully replenished with 17. I think 16 is the ideal number myself. Just need better quality players and some...wait for it...true OT's.

2. LSU only has 10 true down linemen if Fonua plays there. I'd prefer at least 1 more there.

Talent top to bottom....now need the coaches to put them in position to get the job done.
As talented a team across each position as I've seen at LSU.
