3 of the 5 guys still have him going number 2 to Denver but I just don't see the Broncos doing that. The latest rumors were started by Peter King that the Texans are supposed to be in love with PP7 and may trade up to the 5th, 6th, or 7th pick to get him. I still don't understand why teams in the top 5 would pass on him since he is the safest pick in the draft with as much potential as any other player aside from maybe Cam Newton. Much more likely to reach his potential than Cam though.

Teams in the top 5 either don't really need a corner, have bigger needs, or are looking to hit a home-run with their pick. I still think he goes in the top 5, but that is probably the reason many "draft experts" have him falling to SF.

I was in Houston a few weeks back talking with someone close with the Texans, this has been in the works for a while. Its how much they have to give up to move up in the draft. Remember last year the Texans drafted Trindon(Spent year on IR) to help in the return game. A PP7 could help all the way around. CB is a top need for them. I'd love to see them get PP7. Another team that would love a PP7, Titans, facing Peyton twice a year makes it worth the move. Denver has an interest, but needs come into play here. The 49'ers would love for him to fall that far. Don't forget the other Texas team, the Cowboys need help big time at CB, but to get PP7, they too would have to move up.

History is what's working against Peterson. The most elite can't-miss DB's don't usually get drafted any higher than 5th overall. The highest being Shawn Springs at 3rd overall with no one else breaking the top 4 including Heisman trophy winner Charles Woodson. If a team like the 49'ers don't have him fall in their laps, Prince Amukamara isn't a bad consolation at all.

I know this, they would love the chance to get PP7. Its what they have to give up to move into position.

Its gonna be a good draft tonight.

I know this, if the Texans had the first pick, he'd go #1 this year......

The problem with PP is his position. You essentially take him out of the game on defense by throwing to the other side of the field. I'm just hoping he doesn't end up in Buffalo

True, depends on whos on the other side. Texans need a return guy and CB, he would fill both positions of need. Trindon was drafted late last year for a return guy, IR was his position.

Me too. I don't want to see him go to any of the teams in the top 7.

NE is rumored to be trading up...how about PP7 to the Pats!

With 9 picks, 1st round (2 picks), 2nd (2), 3rd.(2), 4th, 5th and 6th. They have some picks to trade.

They need help at OL, DE, RB and WR.

I don't think they are sweating it. Just about any other year, Prince would've been a clear cut number one choice at cornerback and a top 10 pick. I'm pretty sure he has a better write-up than Revis did coming out of college. 49'ers are sitting pretty b/c of so many needs they have. Even if they get PP, I wouldn't even be sure if they would let their future lock-down corner return kicks. They are probably looking for a returner in the later rounds.

The two left are the RS's from Troy and TCU (Jernigan & Kerley).

I can't picture the Pats trading into the top 5.
They normally like to manuever around just so they won't reach for a player and enjoy a high success rate b/c they normally have a ton of picks. A good example was trading back with the Saints so they won't have to reach for Jerrod Mayo. He was their number one target from the get go but didn't want to draft him with the sixth pick.

49'ers also have draft bust Ted Ginn Jr. All he can do is return kicks.

FWIW it's said that Von is #1 on Buffalo's draft board and they won't pass him up. They were the one team last year that was going to be willing to take him early in the draft.

Carolina will stay mired in last place if they pick Newton #1.

They can go another route and still get a QB with the 33rd pick.

Newton, Gabbert, Locker, Mallett and Ponder.

3, maybe 4, of those will go in the first round, leaving Carolina with at least one or two options.

A very safe pick. The Bills areas of need are anything other than NT on defense. With Kyle Williams (Former LSU Player) and last years pick Troup holding down the NT position. I like the Von pick, best of luck to him.
