Well, that's good. At least there's conversation and some bargaining.
I wonder what LSU is demanding.

Tyrann is an adult, this is a decision that HE has to make for himself.
Is it worth it to him?

they are starting to realize he is better off sitting out a year and getting his life together while he has the opportunity....he has more to gain by sitting out a year and staying at lsu
want to do some inpatient rehab away from br to get him away from press, student life, and all of the attention for 90 days minimum then back to school in the spring with comm. service, drug tests weekly etc

Legally he's an adult. But almost all kids this age look for support and opinions of older family members or mentors. Hell, I'm almost 30 and still ask my father for advice.

Exactly
If he's patient, it'll pay off in the long run for him.

so letting kids get away with 3 or more busted drug tests is good for the development for the kid?
change the rules if it shines a negative light on the program

Is he just real messed up in the head? On a path to destruction?

busts 3 drug tests.
my feeling is anyone on that team sitting on 2 busts have their eyes wide open at this point, and I'm sure future recruits do as well.

To say other coaches will claim LSU doesn' care for it's players becase they arent allowed a FOURTH chance is ridiculous.
true, I never said that, and I'm having a hard time picturing Nicky saying that as well. Again I think if he has to sit out a yr and pay his way, thats punishment enough to let him back, with zero tolerance

has anyone linked that redshirting is possible? I find it very hard to beleive a player can use a redshirt year while suspended.
Happens all the time as long as the suspension/ineligibility isn't an NCAA ruling.

who knows man, im a recovering drug addict myself which is part of the reason im slightly in the know...trying to figure out whats at the root of all of this because "normal" people dont fail drug tests and keep smoking like hes done

Thats the thing to me, i hope the ones close to him forget about football for a second, and start to think about his livelihood, and getting him the help he needs for that.
