LSU was a top 10 team earlier that season. They ended up 8-5 after Les lost games (Auburn and State were fun) he shouldn’t have. Anytime Ole Miss is viewed as a win over a team we weren’t supposed to beat, it’s prob time to look in the mirror as to why LSU was an underdog to begin with.

Ole Miss finished the season with 4 losses and ranked 19th (one fewer loss than LSU). They lost 4 of their last 6 games. They were overrated by the simple fact they got lucky and beat Alabama. Their 2015 team was much, much better. Everyone seems to want to use end of the season rankings ITT, so let's do that for Ole Miss too and not pretend they were the #3 in the country.

You're right, you didn't say it in your post. Even if you meant P5 teams, that is arguing in bad faith when one of those non-P5 teams finished the season with 1 loss and ranked 12th and that same team finished last year ranked 6th and undefeated. They were a good football team. LSU deserves credit for how they played against that team just as much as you want to punish them for losing to Florida and A&M.

Ricky isn't the only one to do this. There are several posters that twist and manipulate. To me this is dishonest and calls into question a person's integrity or lack thereof. For people like Ricky and Sammy who just love to argue this doesn't seem to be much of a issue. Winning the argument takes precedence over any lie by omittance. It's my position that these discussions shouldn't even be looking to see who wins or loses. I would hope that people would be shooting for something more constructive in nature.

been saying this and nobody listens. P&G kooolaid drinking idiots on this site. Still finished THIRD in the WEST AND FIFTH OVERALL. They simply won’t acknowledge that. The worst part is losing to TAMU AND UF two teams that you play every year when they are rebuilding. Gonna be a LONG LONG 2019 with about 3-4 losses and the same old Miles shite because all these other teams took small steps forward and passed LSU. Year 1 to 2 for Mullen and Fisher will be major steps.

hated Miles, but go look at 2005-2011 the teams he beat and their rankings at the end of the season. It’s nowhere near comparable. For example, in 2011 he beat 2 out of conference teams that either won their conference or tied for first, 1 that finished second. He beat the numbers 1, 4, 5, 20, and 23 end of season ranked teams. The end result was not good with the loss, you can’t deny what he did. It was truly remarkable and nothing I’ve seen since watching / listening to this team since the late 50’s.
