But he's good.

I'm glad we only play them once this season, at home.

Hickey and Stringer are something else. We need Morgan or Hammink to really take the bull by the horns and start to contribute

Agreed. I still think it was a mistake to sit them both after we took the lead. Team was totally different without them on the floor and we need other guys to be able to keep up the momentum when those guys are sitting.

He was absolutely terrible on both ends of the court today

Terrible? Didn't know 14 points was terrible. Yeah, he didn't play his best, but like the rest of team, he played much better in the second half.

Johnny is great inside the paint. As soon as he steps out of it his game is awful. Everytime he got the ball today I cringed... Killed at least 7 possessions

Does anyone know how many threes were attempted by LSU?

Clearly you didn't wath the game. At least 6 of his points were wide open, uncontested layups setup by his teammates. Every time he got the ball in the second half he jacked up some ill-advised, out of control shot.

By the way, JOB was your boyfriend TJ's recruit. I thought you'd go easy on him.

Yeah, I wondered about this too. I know you want to try to rest them, but IMHO those little guys can go all day. It's the big boys like JOB3 who need to get some blows.

Hammink just ain't ready jet and Collins was coming in pretty cold from sitting so long. I do agree that was a key turning point.

Tiger's looked good coming back, just need to gain composure once they get a lead.

Very fun team to watch..

They need to quit these crappy first halves and I think they can win some games they shouldn't in the SEC. I'm not saying they WILL win 9 SEC games but it wouldn't shock me.

12 of our 18 games are against A&M, Auburn, UGA, South Carolina, Vandy, Arkansas, State... none of which are particularly impressive.

However, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Mizzou, and Ole Miss will be tough ones

I'm always cautious about bold proclamations in the moment. I'm not sure this insures a bright future anymore than the Boise game signaled impending doom.

But we can say at least that yes, this team is more fun to watch and that we showed some development and improvement over the last two road games, which is what you like to see.

Great game my only question is why JJ did not call a time out when MQ was shooting free throws at the 40 sec mark-

We have 3 time outs the game still possible- freeze the shooter and try to at least limit him to 1 out 2

Second, with three time outs- focus the team, call a couple of set plays

Just did not care for the last 40 seconds coaching strategy but hey it was a great game and the kids fought hard

I guess it would have been worth a try, but I don't know if that guy was gonna miss any free throws no matter what and you give them a chance to game plan what they want to do defensively.

As I indicated above, my only issues was starting the timidity of the zone early and the subbing out of Hickey and Stringer once we took the lead. He got them back in fairly quickly but it was we had fallen back by about 8 just that quickly.

The Tigers will surprise a few people this year. As they gain confidence and chemistry they should be a winning team in the SEC. They play hard to the end. I like this squad.

54 for Marquette will make money playing basketball in the future. JOB and Big Tuba have nothing to hang their heads about. They at least played a physical game and the effort was there. Thats all a fan, player or coach can ask for.
