My question is did it stop the clock and give Alabama an extra time out? If so that's the ballgame

No, they had 3 timeouts to start the drive. Used all 3 after each play. No penalty and we kick a FG, same time left on the clock.

No penalty and we kick a FG, From inside the five? maybe, maybe we push it in. We got some inside the five play throws too. Proven in game time.

If the previous play was a run then bama would have burned one of those TO's to stop the clock. The clock was stopped by the penalty instead. Do they spot the ball and then start the clock with the play clock after a penalty?
