Because everytime someone correctly mentions or writes about the OOC schedule this place goes into complete meltdown mode.
If anyone ever wrote a single article correctly mentioning or discussing OOC schedule, then this board would have absolutely no problem with it. Of course, then the SC people would flip their shite, because in order to correctly discuss OOC schedule they would have to discuss how it can only be weighted for 1/4 to 1/3 of a team's schedule, and the other 8 or 9 games played in conference have 2 to 3 times more impact on how difficult a schedule a team CHOOSES to play. And any article that puts two to three times as much emphasis on the difference in difficulty of facing SEC foes versus facing Pac 10 foes -- as any article correctly discussing OOC schedule MUST do -- would completely humilate and embarass the SC folks for choosing to play 3/4 of their schedule against inferior competition.

So instead, they write articles which claim that OOC is of even remotely similar significance to figuring SoS as conference schedule. That way, teams like SC with one or two impressive looking OOC foes can completely cover up their 9 game slate of Pac 10 teams.

The guy is an SC fan who has lurked on an LSU board for almost 5 years now to constant blather about how "obsessed" we are with them.

Of course, every time his obvious hypocrisy and projection is pointed out to him he conveniently explains how "that's different."

Typical sad SC penis envy. They pretend so hard to have the kind of program we have right now that the very existence of the real thing drives them insane. It's sort of a constant reminder and mockery of their pretention. Kind of sad that, after almost a quarter of a century has passed since we spanked them on their own field in the last game played between our teams, they still are so completely obsessed that they have to obsessively scour every word of every post on an LSU message board for anything they can turn into a post about them.

I reported LSU being number one on this list as "inappropriate content". NOW they'll be sorry!

Nice fourth grade name calling

Look, all it takes is "LSU has a weak OOC scheule"--no more no less and meltdown occurs. I guess you are going to say that is incorrect.

Yes, that is why this board went to complete meltdown mode after USC beat OSU. That is why there are threads after threads year around bashing USC. That is why there are FUSC stickers all around town. That is why even BR newscasters pick up on the hatred (envy) of LSU fans and call USC "the team LSU fans love to hate". That is whay even many rantards have become increasingly frustrated with the USC talk on TD.com. That is why a billboard was erected in SoCal. That is why a truck was rented and driven around ESPN. Envy of LSU. Also, I do not turn posts here into "USC". Those are already laid out nicely.

LSU has recently joined the elite. Whether they remain is to be seen. But either way, many fans have yet to learn how to handle it. Many believe that acknowledging the excellence of USC would somehow tarnish their status as an LSU fan.

I find that to be very true. I'm all LSU but purposefully like to point out USC positives just to listen to the reactions I get from friends.

They end up asking me how/why I can "like" USC when I'm such a huge LSU fan. I tell them it's not a matter of like/dislike, just presenting them with facts.

As an LSU fan poined out yesterday- "They are talented. It will not mean that LSU has to give back their 2 titles if you admit it."
It might have been you. I am not doing that to pump up USC, just to point that out to folks. Anywho, this thread is pretty much done. Good luck on the season. Be nice to finally have the two play again.

USC's weak conference schedule makes up for our weak OOC schedule.
When USC starts playing a Conference Championship Game then i will give a shite about any complaint they have.
Every major conference should either play a Conf. Championship game or not play one.
But when LSU is rewarded for playing theirs last year and winning it then no team without playing one should complain.
And don't make me resort to 4th grade name calling because i have all the names written here on a piece of paper.

About the same time SC found out how to run a football program again. I hate how other schools so easily discount our past which was a lot more illustrious than they think. We aren't or never were Oregon or Arizona... and SC wasn't worth a damn while we were winning a couple SEC's, playing in big bowl games, and churning out good NFL talent in the 80's. Give us more respect than that.

And PAC 10 fans say to that, "The Conference Championship format allows us to miss a 'strong' team, still, last year, Georgia."

I agree. LSU does have a weak OOC schedule, just as USC has a weak (not as weak) IC schedule

NCAA does not allow in a 10 team conference. Besides, many conferebnces play a round robin schedule resulting in the best team being the champ more often than those with CCGs

Why don't we schedule better OOC teams? It's not like we'd lose!

ETA: I'm kidding, there is a 5% chance we'd lose.

How is saying LSU has recently joinged the elite not giving LSU respect historically? ELite as in a consistent top 5 team in the hunt year after year and once who is sure to bounce back to that very same status after a down period. I am aware that LSU has historically been a very good team.
