Like I said,

70mph from 35 feet > 90mph from 60 ft 6 inches

...from 35 ft is smoking. Also the movement on a softball at that speed and distance must be insane.

I think it's 43 feet but it's still on you in a hurry. That's what so amazing about many of the collegiate players hitting over 400. Check out the prior post with Jenny Finch.

Disclaimer: please don't flame me on this - it's a slow day as I am at home recovering from knee surgery yesterday. GEAUX TIGERS!

Good luck with the recovery, and don't be afraid of the replacement--I'm home recovering from a hip replacement--already feels better than in years!

As for this girl, maybe she can be the equivalent of Simone Augustus for the Lady Tigers' Softball team and get us up to that elite level...

Yeah I watched that. I thought NCAA was 35 feet. At 43 or 35, what about the reaction time of the pitcher? Scary...

I wasn't quite clear in my original post - she was throwing pies and tomatoes at pictures of SB, not the guy himself. Even then, I got a little sadistic pleasure from watching it. Made me feel a little naughty

From the recruiting board---

LSU's softball commitment sets perfect game record. Fico's high school record currently stands at 87-2. She has SO-1,547 batters;78 shutouts;41 no-hitters and now holds National record with 21 perfect games. Fico throws a 70 mph rise ball. GEAUX TIGERS!!!
