I expect LSU to at least match that on Saturday. No reason why we can't put up the same amount UH did with better athletes and defense at our disposal.

ETA: yes I know no one is expecting us to cover the Vegas lines or outscore UH, but if we can't do that why do we keep a guy like SE over a guy like Briles?

If SE is not even putting up the same type of offensive stats against the same team when he has much better talent and a much better defense at his disposal then wtf is the point of keeping him as OC?

That must be why there 15 threads every day asking us to hire UH's offensive coordinator.

UNT put up 44 on Arkansas. I expected us to easily match that. We all saw how that turned out.

If we break 30 against Rice, I guess we should be happy.

More so because our current OC isn't getting the job done and Briles is one of the better available options, atm.

If LSU puts up over 35, CEO/SE apologist will use it as improvement or how the Offense will look when clicking on all cylinders, so no change is needed

Our defense may get us there, but UH is better offensively by any objective measure. And "talent" is not objective.

Rice gave up 42... to UAB... at home... on homecoming... in a shutout. Think LSU is gonna be okay.

Curious to see if Rice’s new coach can start using some of the good, Stanford joo-joo to recruit better in Houston.

Its why they have the #2 offense in the country.
