UCLA coach and players post-game - Thoughts and prayers with the people of Louisiana

Chip Kelly first noted the bus ride to Houston that LSU players and coaches had to take due to the hurricane then stated "Thoughts and prayers with the people of Louisiana.
Chip Kelly was asked about his offense being so proficient running and passing against LSU, "it's what the defense was giving us, we have the ability to do both."
Chip was asked about his players' performance against LSU, "players are getting out of it what they've put into it."
Chip was asked how good it was to be able to put pressure on LSU's QB M. Johnson. "He's a really good player and I tell you what, he was a tough son of a gun, we kept hitting him and he just kept getting up. He's as impressive a guy as I've seen. One of the things people don't talk about with QB's is their toughness. He just stood in there. And we kept hitting him."
Chip Kelly was asked about their advantage of playing Hawaii first. "It was huge."
UCLA Tight end was asked about his 75 yard TD reception. "It opened up exactly like we thought it would. We did a lot of game planning."
UCLA QB was asked about him not having many opportunities to throw much when he has two great backs. "Even though I didn't have many opportunities (to throw)....in big games big players step up... even though I didn't have many opportunities, we had to maximize those that we got."
UCLA QB was asked about the validation of this win."Everyone expected to win this game, it just proved our expectations" and also praised Orgeron and LSU's players.
UCLA QB was asked about the importance of this win. "In all of our years of being here, we hadn't beaten an out-of-conference opponent, it's something special."

This is very telling about how much the team has “changed” since last year.

Defense hasn’t. Jones is in over his head.

Crazy that two years straight we lose the opener basically by having no ability to scheme better even with talent advantage across the majority of the roster.

They're agreeing with you. Guess they're too dumb to know it's sarcasm.

Chip was actually pretty classy after the game.
Their social media team is trolling LSU and O for those comments pregame though

Tip your hat to UCLA. I gotta look at the film but their formations created mismatches and we got beat the point of attack. We gotta get better. We will get it fixed.

"Thanks. I’ve been dying to know what Chip said... He's refreshingly honest."
He's honest, not an arrogant, name-calling prick, and always respectful to the opponent.
Orgeron, on the other hand... Never mind, you already know what a d-bag he is.
PLUS: quoting one of the Sissy Blue fan boards here:
"he doesn't wear a headset during the game, basically all he seems to do is rah, rah and clap his hands. If your head coach isn't in direct and constant communication with the other coaches that's a problem. But honestly, this doesn't surprise me regarding the Ogre. He's a crap coach........good at slimy recruiting and hand clapping but not much else as far as I can see."

I've seen clips on Youtube where Chip wasn't respectful to a player. But I do agree he is honest, classy, and respectful to his opponent. You are blessed to have him.

As Miles would say, “there’s a want” inside to believe you. But it’s just a want at this point.
