I downplayed the LSU talent for good reason. Having said that, Ward and Williams have potential IMO. Unlike Stewart, Williamson, etc. And of course Baker had 0 potential but he has run out of eligibility anyway. Ward and Williams would be my choice for returnees and see if they can get better.

Good news. Of course it's funny college bball has turned into this; a player has to announce he is staying

Yep.

It used to be you’d only see such announcements by potential higher draft picks returning for their Senior seasons.

Now it’s “Hey! guess what? I’ve decided not to leave this school!!”

It reminds me of the time my wife got mad at me for wanting to have a Gender Reveal party at 40…just reveal I was still a guy

He’s turning into a really good player. Let’s finish getting the pieces.

This is key. Retaining the kids that we recruited and keeping them for 3-4 years. You consistently get 2-3 good high school kids a year and keep them in the program and they develop then year over year you can have a bigger and bigger core to where you only need a couple good transfer options to fill key roles whether as a starter or as a bench guy that contributes a lot with solid minutes. Reed had flashes this year too. Sometimes it takes big guys longer to develop and really get it because they aren’t used to playing against guys their size or bigger on a regular basis except in AAU but often times that can be like an NBA All-star game with little defense and a ton of one on one play showcasing what they got and really doesn’t develop them. Wish Fountain would pick up offensively. It seems like not this year but last year he went through some stretches where he would get the ball up top and take his guy off the dribble and finish. Want to say he had several games where he started scoring a good bit but then didn’t see that anymore.
