It was a blown coverage on Chase that allowed two point conversion. Whether LSU was running tunnel screen or not had nothing to do with the coverage bust on the side of the field opposite of the strong side where the screen might have been called.

No one gives up coverage on their man because they think they might know that the primary receiver designed to get the ball is on the other side from them. It was just a blown coverage.

I don’t think Chase was the primary receiver. It looked to me like Burrow wanted to go the other way and did a good job of going through his progressions to find the open man.

ESPN did an entire segment on the Saints doing this last year. Will try to find it.

I’m just glad we didn’t run that same rollout shite that every team runs as their 2 point conversion play every single time

Looked like they wanted to go to the screen but it was a busted play. If it was an intended fake, then Burrow wouldn't have had to buy time considering Chase was open from the beginning.
