I looked at other weeks and it appears ESPN is doing something around giving each home team one early game. Arkansas just happens to be the draw for LSU this year.

I guess this is how they are making things fair for each school.

Kentucky sucks too, but they’ve already been given a night game at home against Tennessee

I don’t think this has anything to do with perceived team outcomes.

Also just because a team sucks doesn’t mean it’s by default an earlier game.

Teams that suck get put on SEC Network at night.

It looks to be some attempt to balance day games for SEC teams by ESPN

You can’t seriously make a case for it being hot on 11/15 at 11 AM

The last we played early at Vandy in 2019 it was about 110 degrees and people were passing out being taken away in ambulances.

The entire stadium will be bathed in sun for nearly the entire game. It will likely be hot, but not extreme.

I have no problem with a day game; I object to an 11 am kickoff though. It kills the gameday experience.

Extreme Weather Watch data

No clue if it’s true, but it supports my position so it’s obviously true
