False. That fat dude at Michigan won't last 2 years and Les will finally beckon the call home.

Atkansas hasn't annexed you yet?

58, actually. Which means, that if he were to reach 15 seasons, he would be 66 by the end of his 15th season. Could he? Yes. Will he? I have my doubts. Barring any type of catastrophic sanctions, LSU should be in a pretty nice position as one of the nation's elite teams for the next decade. Les' tenure will depend on his personal health.

If he keeps winning and recruiting as well as he is, he stays healthy, and he keeps "the want", I can see him staying that long or longer.

and vice versa....good point.
Les embraces a challenge and he knows damn well that coaching in the SEC west is the biggest challenge in college football. his career has been influenced greatly by Bo Shembeckler and ,IMHO, he will coach here for 15 and then look to AD or just retire. the only thing that could get him to leave would be a Jerry Jones and lots and lots of $$$$$$$. we are lucky to have him.

What did I say that wasn't true?

People said we were doomed when lord saban left too. Les is not a great coach. He is blessed with a great job at a great time. We can certainly attract someone that has a similar record from when he was at OSU. Not that I want him to leave, but if he did.

Chill Pill?
Are you really Kirk Herbstreet?

He is the modern day Cholly Mac. He will coach as long as LSU lets him. His kids will be out of the house in the next 5 or more years. That is what keeps him grounded now. Once they are gone, his focus becomes completely football.
He gave up Michigan, so there is no where else to go. I believe he stays as long as he wants if he keeps beating Saban, if not rewrite on the 70's.

I believe that he was rolling his eyes in response to your name.

True in your mind is not truth. I think the question you meant to ask was "what did I say that wasn't speculation and personal bias?".

What say the rant? He's through seven now for any of you who can't count.
He makes 12 at the minimum. The o/u is probably 13.5, I think he coaches until he breaks Mac's all time win record, which should be sometime in his 14th or 15th season (theoretically, during his 13th season), then retire, so yeah, 15 seasons - why not?

I think he has 10 sewed up. I think he will reassess at that point.

Ya'll need to put down the crack pipe and face reality. Leslie is not a great coach. He's at an amazing school with unlimited resources. He doesn't have to recruit, LSU recruits itself. Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night in front of 92,000+ speaks for itself. You don't need Leslie to tell a recruit to come to LSU once you experience that. Leslie rode Saban's coattail his first couple of years, and now he'll NEVER win a National Championship without Saban's players. Book it!

As much as people bitch and complain about Les he has succeeded thus far every year to at least get an upper tier bowl and has had top classes.
I think that it is true until he quits or his recruiting turns to shite
