On another note, I can't imagine being the parent watching my child struggle and hearing the boos ... regardless of what the boos are meant to be for.

I'm guessing his parents attend the games???

cry me a fricking river.
JJ is getting worse instead of better.
He isnt held accountable and his actions and words resemble nothing of a leader.

He needs to step aside and give someone else an opportunity.

There is NOTHING he could say to please the critics on this board.

He definately heard the boos - but he's just downplaying it and trying to move forward and do his best.

Hopefully, the coaches will take some of this pressure off of him by sitting him down next week and giving JL or Sheppard a chance.

JJ should say:

"I need to NOT telegraph passes any more;

I need to anticipate the route cuts of WR's, and place ball where only our WR's can catch ball..."

"Yes, I hear the boos and am frustrated with my play to this point as well. But I'm thankful we're undefeated despite this, and I'm committed to doing whatever I can to improve my play. If I can get on track, and do what I know I'm capable of doing at quarterback, with our D and special teams, there's no telling how far this team can go".

"Statistcally, I had one of my worst games ever. I want to thank my teammates for picking up the slack, and because of that we are 4-0. I understand the frustrations of the fans, they spend a ton of money to come to games, and frankly, I didn't give them what they paid for. My goal this week is to get us to 5-0, and I've got some work to do in practice and the film room."

The presence of the "I became an LSU fan in 2003 when I picked up a shirt from Walmart" fans is strong in this thread.

He could say "I missed several opportunities to help my team put this game away, and I'm going to do whatever it takes to improve so this does not happen again. I Let my team, coaching staff, and the entire LSU Nation down with my performance. I've got to get better."

This is basically what Ridley did after UNC and look how he responded.

Jefferson's responses remind me of JRussell and ABrooks.

Further proof he is every bit as clueless as he appears when he is attempting to run our offense.

You're joking right???

And, I don't think anyone cares about his response to the boos...the point is, he didn't say he was upset about the way he played...that's a problem. Instead, he just went off Miles' brainwashing response of, "We are 4-0!!! We are perfect!!! What a freakin retard

Nice.

If 20 year SEC QBs could have press secretaries, you'd be golden.

Thanks for the name calling, very mature. Learn how to spell and use a contraction properly before you call anyone anything.

Who says that he MUST have this mentality? You? Please! There are many mature players out there who are frustrated and willing to admit it. He says, "What do I have to be frustrated about?" Do you recall the speech Tebow gave after the Ole Miss loss where he took the responsibility and promised to improve? We didn't lose like Florida did in that game but JJ made mistake after mistake after mistake in this game. It was one of the worst QB performances that I've seen and to deny that he's frustrated shows a lack of maturity. Take the criticism, use it to motivate yourself and improve. Don't act like everything is rosy when he knows good and well that it's not. With that said, no one wants JJ to be having a year like this, we're all pulling for him but his performances are deteriorating rather than improving.

Alleging that a college kid should be apologizing to fans for how much money they spent shows how absolutely clueless you are.

We got people here attacking Jordan Jefferson on a personal level which isn't right. If y'all think he is not trying his best then I don't know what to say. The staff is doing him no favors by keeping him out there but he continues to DO HIS BEST.

Now, as far as the boos go it's not intended at him I HOPE but more at the OC and Miles for not fixing the problem. If you got a pitcher having a bad game you can leave him out there or bring in a teammate to help the situation. Either way Miles is responsible to the team and fan base to put the players in the best position to win. If being 112 in passing offense is the best he thinks we can do then so be it but Jefferson is trying to stay positive in this bad situation. Again he is doing his best.

I think he expressed something like that after the Vandy game, and everyone crucified him for expressing a lack of confidence.

Point is - after the last 4 games, there really nothing he could say to appease the natives.

The only thing he can do is keep is head down and try to play better. Hopefully, he'll get some bench time to motivate him.

Ridley basically same the same thing after his 2 fumbles in ATL, without any press secretary. That's the whole point of toe OP's thread. It's a mindset Leaders and Champions have vs. someone with the attitude of a Deer in Headlights.

Look, he played like shite, and it doesn't look like he is progressing -- he's regressing as a matter of fact -- but what do you expect him to say?

OH NOEZ?

He's got to stay confident in his abilities and tune out the criticism.
