Why else was Troy St kicking those weird punts?

Isn't that why teams kick it short to him on kick-offs?

What is rugby punting and why would one do it?

It just seems like the strategy of a lot of opponents when doing kicks to trindon is to try to avoid him getting a return at all. Hasn't he scored 2 TD's on a kick return and 1 on a punt return in his career?

lack of a big leg at P + having the ability to fake it every time

dude i don't know if LSU has had a good opportunity to return a punt against a good team since skyler green was skinny

that PR was against UNT, who is the worst team in D1A. the KR was legit, and i'm not saying he's a bad KR

Trindon's lack of production
I expected a lot more from Trindon this year. I though he'd be a better football player with more experience. If anything, he seems to have regressed a little.

We need to get him in the game and get his confidence back. He also needs to learn how to catch punts better - it's about time.

Agree. I am quite sure Crowton has his reasons but I do not why we did not use TH on the edge and or RM instead of the same ole CS off tackle, etc.

I am not even talking about the return - I'd settle for a good fair catch. He's struggling there.

now you see why no other D1 college recruited Holiday or SEC type school before I'm corrected. The dude lacks skills for this level of play

+1. It's what i've been saying all season. It's a waste of a scholarship to have a track guy. Demps and Rainey are football players, not fast runners.

It would be nice to see him run the read option with jefferson, I think that would be pretty explosive.

All I kept thinking about seeing Demps run all over LSU was why can't we see Holliday used that way

Demps is listed as 5-foot-8, 176 pounds; Holliday 5-foot-5, 159 pounds. From watching the two all year long, it sure seems to me that Demps has more bulk and muscle than Holliday. I've seen Demps drag a player or two along on a run up the middle; hell, he did it to us in our game. I can't imagine the 159 pound Holliday doing that. This is no disrespect to Trindon, he's a warrior, he plays fearlessly and ain't afraid of hit hit, but he's just not as physical as Demps.

No disrespect to Trindon but he is no Demps or Rainey. Those two are football players that can run track, Trindon is a track guy playing football.

We don't use him enough. It's not his fault that our coaches are too retarded to line him up behind the qb or place him in the slot like anyone with a half a brain knows would work. Watch Florida play. They find many ways to use those small/fast backs (demps, rainey, graham, even harvin who's not that big) to utilize their speed and big play ability. This team's problem is coaching and paly calling. When you struggle against teams that are not as talented then for the most part it comes down to coaching.

Dandy Don told me there were three reasons:

Charles Scott, KW, & Richard Murphy, but if Urban Meyer had Trindon I think he'd use him in that UF Triple option like he does with Dempsey and Harvin and the guy would be a super star.

I see very little misdirection, reverses, deception on offense. It's line up and blow you off the line of scrimmage. That no longer works in a talent laden SEC. Why do you think Florida uses so much misdirection in his Offense. That's why they'll win the SEC this year, and make Alabama look silly.

Throw in Richard Murphy or KW and you'd have a UF style Triple option that would give anyone fits.

I heard a lot about using him as a receiver. I think it's a brilliant idea - why not do it?

To make it less obvious, he needs to be in on more plays where he isn't the primary target.

I just see too much potential/speed and right now, it all seems wasted.

part of the reason he's not effective is because every time he's on the field the defense knows its goin to him
