Anybody that leaves to “work their way” into the second round must have a reason for doing so. I hope he “works” his way into the second round, but he could just as easily end up undrafted.

I think coming back next year or even staying 4 years his draft prospects wouldn’t change. Maybe he would just be a lock 2nd round pick. He isn’t going to get taller so he’s never going to be a first round pick.

That’s very fair. I do not blame him or even have a possible reason to have animosity. Happy he will make money doing what he likes. Some can improve their draft stock and make much more money in the long run, but some cannot. You may be right that he cannot.

I think there is a better case for Naz to come back over Waters but I get why both left. Naz could come back and make himself into a lottery pick if he continued to improve. He can still go late first early second and get the same improvement in the G league and get paid to do it tho so I understand why he left.

Waters checked into the NBA Combine at 5-10 3/4 (w/shoes), 172.4 pounds, 6-2 1/4 wingspan, 9.75 hand width (biggest hands among PGs) and 6.6 percent body fat.
Those are really good numbers for him. John Stockton had huge hands as well.

@CodyWorsham Tallied up the numbers: Tremont Waters shot 22/25 (88%) from NBA 3 during shooting drills yesterday.

That's the best figure from the combine.

He'll definitely be on a summer league team, wouldn't say he's definitely getting drafted.

I personally think he can make a roster. His handles are elite, as in i'd rank just a few guys in the world that have better handles than Tremont. He can get any where on the court he wants, and for the most part, he can always create his own shot. And he has that Steph/Lillard range.
