1. TRE’DAVIOUS WHITE, CB, BUFFALO BILLS
PFF Grade: 91.6

PFF Elite Stat: White allowed a catch just once per every 15.8 snaps he spent in coverage this season, the 10th-best rate among corners.

White stepped in right from Day 1 and showed that he didn’t just belong in this league, he was ready to dominate it. White has held a top-three spot on this list for all 17 updates and after claiming the top-spot after Week 14 he never looked back. The former LSU star finishes the year ranked third among all cornerbacks with his elite overall grade and he was as reliable a corner as there was all season. He led all corners with 1,093 defensive snaps played and he finished 13 games with a grade of at least 70.0. Opposing quarterbacks had just a 68.2 passer rating when targeting White in coverage and he was directly responsible for an incompletion (whether it be via pass breakup, interception or proximity in coverage) on 23.4 percent of the targets into his coverage, well over the league average of 15.0 percent. The Bills are in the playoffs for the first time this century and the play of PFF’s rookie of the year is a big reason why.

4 saints in the top 10 FYI. Jeff Ireland doin work.

He was so insanely sticky at LSU. PFF had him ranked the same way in college.

Tre'Davious White finished the regular season leading the @NFL with five forced turnovers in the fourth quarter. #DROY

Ireland has almost completely overhauled the D, he's done an amazing job, Peyton and Loomis were killing the team with their drafts and FA moves, only bad move since Ireland got here was the Fairley deal...a guy notorious for only playing hard in contact years or last year in college and a dirty player at that. Give that money to D. Poe or Benny Logan (both signed 1/8 mil deals) and we could be a top 5 D, our only real weekness on D is inside pass rush

Tre'Davious White did not get invited to 5star challenge, Nike Opening, or Gridiron Kings and he moves up 124 spots NATIONALLY and into the top ten #6 position wise. In the the words of the Monday night football countdown crew C'MON MAN!!!!

quote:

"Okay! The million dollar question INQUIRING MINDS want to know is the following: "Where did the Rivals.com staff find Tre'Davious White this past summer to justify a resounding but highly questionable 124 spot rise from #158 nationally to #34 nationally in the latest Rivals rankings?" The answer is at the intersection of "Wonderlic & Claiborne Avenue" in Northern Louisiana hanging from a Banana tree. Apparently, the Rivals staff went APE over the site of this marginally-talented & nepotistically-challenged football player during the Summer 2012 Fais-Do-Do 7on7 Blackened Chitterling Circuit, (where the talent level didn't come close to measuring up to Rivals 5-star, Nike The Opening & Gridiron Kings talent level). Clearly, there was no room for MONKEY BUSINESS at the aforementioned big 3 summer events, which is why Tre'Davious White wasn't invited in the first place. Unfortunately, it is apparent from "90 yards away" that the self-proclaimed "Godfather of Recruiting" and his Rivals brethren have engaged in a blatant form of POLITICS with the Fais-Dumb Dumbs 90 miles west of NOLA. It is this type of blasphemous action that makes HS Football Recruiting rankings extremely bias and a joke. As a result, noteworthy & talented players like USC commit Chris Hawkins and other far more superior CBs have to suffer as a result of Rival's "MONKEY BUSINESS" with the PAPER TIGERS. Clearly, Rivals' FOUL PLAY deserves a "90 Yard PENALTY" in my honest opinion…SMFH! Not a sermon, just a fact.....HOLD DAT and get back into your f*cking CAGE MIKE"

quote:

Shout out to "TEAM HAWKINS"who actually knows how competitive it is to compete at the big three (Rivals, Opening, Gridiron Kings)... Our kids were at all three and competed at a high level.. To have a kid who not only didn't compete, but wasn't even invited jump both them and several other kids that were at the big three is just REDICULOUS!!! This only confirms that the system is a complete JOKE!!!

He definitely should have made the pro bowl.

I don't understand how Fournette wasn't even included in honorable mentions but McCaffrey was? Fournette finished with 1,342 yards from scrimmage (12th in NFL), 1,040 yards rushing (8th), 10 total touchdowns (tied-6th)....and he only played in 13 games...for the Jaguars.

As much as Saints tards blow Lattimore's horn over there on that board, Tre'davious as been just as impressive even more so in some cases. I think he will win ROY over on the defensive side of the ball.

Given how terrible the Saints have been at corner for so long, Lattimore seems like the second coming of Prime Time.
