Traveling to the Game

My Pops and I will be making a road trip to the game this weekend.
Couple of questions I had may have come up on the board already, but I will ask again.
Where would you guys recommend parking if we are heading back to LA after the game is over.
Also, where will LSU fans who are making the trip be spending game day before the game?

I've been going to this game many years. Exit I-59 on I-359 heading leftward (north) into downtown Tuscaloosa. This becomes Lurleen Wallace Blvd. Downtown around University Blvd you can street park (don't cross the river--that's too far). I walk down Univ Blvd until I find a bar I like and hangout to time to head for the stadium. It's about a 20 min walk to the stadium. The bars get thicker as you close in on the stadium. On coming out you'll be south of all the traffic heading for Birmingham. For God's sake don't pass I-359 on your way in and try to go to the stadium on McFarland Blvd; suicide that way--you'll be in all the Birmingham traffic. There won't be many LSU people there. I think Bama only sends us 8,000 tickets and any others got their tickets, like me, from StubHub and are sitting with the Bama fans. They're reasonably nice. Just try to get the shaker from the guy in front of you and hide it from him--you'll see better.

We are leaving on Friday, traveling to Meridian, MS for the night and driving into T Town in the morning.

Park at Central High School. 10th avenue is a straight shot to I-359 and then I-59/20 to and from the game. We have parked there several times.
