This "me" mentality,

Is this a perception thing? Its guys having fun then they go into the lock room and laugh about it and then see what they can come up with for next time.. So the next time another team mate does something, he puts his own spin on a celebration.. I don't think its as much of "yeah its all about me" as you like to think.

Don't have sound right now. What does it say?

Not to mention, those guys back in the day were so much more dirtier than the guys in today's game.. It just wasn't seen as much on TV due to the limited coverage.

Dude, you're such a puss. Trash talking is part of the game.

Next thing you'll be complaining about is tackling because it's too rough and demand it be outlawed in favor of flag football or some other nambi pambi crap.

Yup. Two of the best defenses in the NFL and they talk the most shite and play the dirtiest. Wonder why those two go together?

Its a hidden element that defines a winning team. The Saints team that won the Super Bowl had a little "swagger" in them. The D was a little "dirty" and the rest of the team feed off of it.

I remember thing that when a Jeremy Shockey got into the game.. It appeared as if the offense stepped it up even more because he brought this in your face, you better bring all you got if you want a chance to beat us mentality..

15 yards for trash talking and hurting the other teams self-esteem. I have heard this...it's true.

Well... If it is so bad then why isn't it penalized all the time? Evidently its being done in moderation so its not becoming a problem.

If we were getting flagged on every defensive drive because of "trash talking" then we would have a problem.. But its controlled.

I am not a fan of booing college players and i feel the same way about the hully gully displays, Saban had his divas too. It really shows a lack of self discipline and could be costly in a big game.....i.e. BAMA
