Hell, I'd have hired him for an indie project. He actually has some name and face recognition (more than most independent actors), and supervising a group of people in a high pressure, high profile, time-limited job to present to the public (ie a NASA mission) probably isn't a stretch for a bigtime college coach. He had to learn his lines, but he could just be himself.

Probably what he told his OC going into Bama week- "we're going live Saturday, whether you like it or not. It's your job to make it work. Do your job."
