Yeah, something had to have happened. I just want to have all this shite from the past to blow by. I want to see him back on the field and watch him in his own element

In 2003 and 2007, I was ready.

In 2012, I could've cared less about the game because it felt like everything we worked so hard for was meaningless. We Win the SEC, win the SEC Championship, finish season undefeated, beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa...and Alabama, who did none of those things, still gets a title shot.

Doesn't make sense and still doesn't.

Wish that game never would have happened. I actually agree with TM7 this time. His comments were the truth.

According to the profile, Mathieu was so disinterested leading up to that game that he spent 14 hours a day sleeping in the team hotel, and he told his girlfriend, “I don’t even want to play.”

Wow.

Good grief. Any fan not excited about playing for a national championship is probably not much a fan. I graduated from Boston College and would give 1/4 of one lung to have them in the BSCCG.

And its "couldn't" not could have cared less.

this is how you know the writer is a pussy:

(a) Pathetic;

(b) Apparently representative of the pathetic mindset of the entire team heading into the national title contest.

I think it's more of a look into how lost he was at the time. I can identify with that feeling, and I don't wish it on anyone.

I think this is one statement taken out of context from a whole truth.

I believe leading up to the game Mathieu still had his Facebook/Twitter. Days before the game he was asking people about what medicine to take for flu like symptoms. I think he stated he had like a 103 fever or something of that nature.

There is no direct quote from Tyrann Mathieu in the article. It's a quote he said to a girlfriend. He may have said it, but because he was very sick.

Do remember the news like to twist whatever they can get to gain attention to the article. Or she could be an ex-girlfriend looking for her 15 minutes of fame.

Maybe. His disinterest could be a manifestation of depression. However, the entire team looked lost and depressed that night.
