That was pretty damn depressing. We should have taken that one.

so we are paying a guy 1.2 million to learn on the job. that makes a lot of sense. it's time for someone to start a fire trent johnson site.

I questioned Coach Johnson not because he waited to call the timeout (he tried but the refs didn't see it for a couple seconds) but because he wanted to argue with the refs during the timeout instead of set something up. Everybody knew the ball was going to Stringer and MSU played him perfectly, Bost's D was stout. He went backcourt to get the ball, effectively ending anything the coach drew up because of the time it takes to get back to the frontcourt. There's simply not enough time with 4 seconds left to get every option out of a pick and roll, so the play was broken down. Nobody tried to help the inbounder out, it was Stringer or bust, and by throwing it back there with that much time left you basically end up praying for a bad shot to go in. Nobody emerged as a second option down the stretch so both the players and the coach can share the blame here.

this was the 1st game of the season that i've watched so far..i wanted to see just how bad lsu really is. wow, they are horrible.

what's miss st's excuse for being just as shitty, and their coach has been there for a long time.

i hope these recruits trent is bringing in for next season are the real deal, because it sure doesn't appear that he's gonna out coach anyone.

again, my expert opinions are based on watching 1 game on tv so far this season.

There is no excuse for losing two close home games in a row- A coach should be able to coach one of those two games to a win- today was the day- TJ may have done his poorest job of coaching since at LSU today- let's hope he does not repeat this.

The one thing everyone expects is progress from game to game- we are not seeing that.

Trent Johnson is a shitty in-game coach.

Unfortunaly, he also has bunch of shitty in-game players.

I don't like the timeout before the final play.

We had Stringer on the break with 3 defenders behind him. If you're going to draw a play up for Stringer after the TO, why call TO and let the defense set up? Stringer could finish or a put back rebound with nobody having box out assignments would be possible too.

well i can certainly see why the tv camera didn't pan up during the game...WNBA seems to be a notch better, crowd wise than lsu basketball these days.

I would have never fired Brady, unless I had a better coach lined up to replace him. Apparantly LSU did not follow this simple recipe, and now we have a coach that is worse than the one we fired...And the future is bleak because of this simple thing........

I strongly disagree with Trent's decision to not have Turner out there, but whatever. People wanted us to show heart and compete, we are doing that now. This team is improving. People only want to see the loss. And until they start winning (probably won't be till next year) they are gonna be on him no matter how they lose.

i will reserve judgement on trent until i see what's happening with the team next season. we're supposed to have 3 real good players joining the team, maybe 4 with ross-miller (can he play next season if he comes to lsu?)....some maturity of this years freshman, along with storm & white maybe playing good, could possibly make trent look like a much better coach next season.

Apparently he didn't understand that being mediocure is not enough on the bayou. On the west coast you might get away with it, but not here..........

It is amazing how good of a coach a guy is when his team whens, and how terrible of a coach he is when they are losing

This is not an up year down year thing. Very gfew said much last year about 2-14 SEC. These players are just not learning a damn thing.
