Yeah, the configuration next year will be different. I know Alleva wants to make the student section similar to what it is at Duke. Just imagine if all of the students tonight were down low surrounding the court. It would have been awesome. But unfortunately not that many students show up for most games and plus this would take away good seats from general fans and force them to the uppers. It'll be interesting to see what happens next year.

If the students don't turn out consistently in good numbers for the rest of the season, look for the student section to be moved behind the basket next year. That is what Alleva would really like to see. It looks HORRIBLE on TV when the student section is empty and all of those good seats are untaken.

I noticed a difference in the student section tonight, but definitely did not notice a difference in the general public fans. They still were scattered and quiet as usual. atleast the students showed up. give 'em that much. there were still the same amount of general public fans in the seats, where are they?? I for one was very impressed by the students!!!

They were just following the older fans actions i'm sure. They didn't want to yell and scare the old people

Ok I had to buy a ticket even though I'm a student there. The ticket taker told me I couldn't get it because something was wrong with my card.
I didn't want to walk away and go back to my dorm. That would be really boring and I was like You know what I'm going anyway.
I stayed and cheered on the TIGERS!!

The students showed up, now if we can get the general public to show up.

The students showed up in full force and spilled over into many sections supposedly filled by season ticket holders.

I'm hoping the point game draws even more students out and we pack the PMAC. Even though LSU wont be making money on ticket sales at least they'll make a few dollars from concession sales.

imo the section is set up shitty. we have the pit and then like a section on top thing. they need to be moved to behind the other teams bench.

Joe Dean F-ed it up, to begin with.

They need to make it a continuous section, all the way down to floor level, like it used to be, before him.

I was a strong critic at the football games of the SS but they were out in force yesterday and it was great.

I'm still a critic of the students at football games because I sit there too. Changes need to be made in that regard.

But I give the students mad props last night for showing up.

-Free admission
-Free Maravich Maniac Tshirt
-Free Canes chicken combo
-See Quickchange at halftime

that brought em in

The student section has moved and spills over now. They weren't taking over season ticket holders seats.

Yes they were, I watched many do that. The students filled up section 305 then ushers came and kicked them all out. Then they went wherever. Many walked up the steps where the students were then kept on walking to mid quart and beyond on the 3rd level.

I sat in 304. I'm not sure if thats student section or not but it was damn near 100% students and maybe 1-2 empty seats at most.

304 is student section and extends all the way to 337.

I know some friends left the student section and found empty seats in the lower area mid court and sat there.

I'm hoping the students show up in full force again for the Mississippi State game (student priority point game).

I really think that if we can continue to build on the attendance and make the venue a tough place to play, it will help us immensely on the court and maybe even get us a win or two that we otherwise wouldn't have. That is big come the end of the year. Beating Ole Miss away will be very very important.
