Yea, Reggie Robinson had a good freshman year (300-400 yards or so) in '98, but was overshadowed by Booty, Foster, and an underachieving team.

Its a shame he never got his career on track, he had all the physical tools. He made a great catch in the end zone in the Quincy Carter Georgia game fiasco.

Didn't Carlos Carson catch 5 TD passes (his first five cartches as a Tiger) as a Freshman against Rice in 1977 season opener?

I think that game he had 5 catches for 5 TD's and then the next game he started with a catch for a TD.

So the first 6 catches of his college career were for TD's, and that's a record that will be hard to beat.

if you're adding returns, put Eric Martin up there. Awful team in '81,but he had a good season.

Martin played RB as a freshman.

wendell Davis freshman year in 84 was wasted. He hardly played and should have been a rdshirt. We really needed him in 88.

Carlos Carson's first two games may have been among the best two first games of any freshman wide receiver in NCAA history.

Jerel Meyers and Abram Booty were not even in Clayton's league. Clayton was the total package.
