The offense still played horrible. I just don't like to say the REFS lost the game for us. Way too many people on here think that EVERYTIME LSU losses its cause of the refs.

1. Cal-Irvine play at 2nd in the regionals that the umpire screwed up in 2008.
2.2006 Auburn Non-Pass Interference Call
3.LSU vs. Kentucky 1994 Mardi Gras Miracle 31 point lead squandered
4.1999 Alabama Josh Booty trying to leap 5 yards into the endzone instead of throwing the ball at the end of the game.
5. Ole Miss brain fart 2009

Yeah, but if I remember correctly, we only had 10 offensive possessions in that game, and 5 of the drives were either stopped or taken away by the refs...
1. 4and1 catch by Hester
2. no pass interference before half in end zone
3. holding call on first down catch
4. end of game no PI
there was one more Off possession that was taken away that I can't recall as well as an Auburn fumble that wasn't given to us, but losing 40-50% of your possessions is a pretty significant deal, especially in a game where you knew it was going to be low scoring anyway. It's not like anyone went into that game with those two defenses expecting a 31-30 game. Everyone knew it would be a 14-10/10-7 type ballgame.

They were playing against a good team. They didn't play horribly, they played conservatively to some extent, but not horribly.

Who cares whether you like to say it or not? If it's true, it's true, regardless of your verbalization phobias.

Saying it was because of the refs against Auburn in 2006 is not saying it is because of the refs every time. If you can't see that the refs stole that game from us, then you're just putting your head in the sand.

Because the refs bad calls (or non-calls when Auburn committed crucial penalties) nullified it whenever we did.

sure the ref calls were bullshite but we could not score points
Because the refs calls were bullshite and stopped all but one of the several scoring chances we created for ourselves, and even on that one they turned a likely TD into a FG.

while that call was bullshite...had JR thrown the ball on time it would have been an easy TD. Early was 5 yards behind his man but basically had to stop and wait for the ball to get there.

Part of what I am talking about.

1. miss. meltdown (as unexplainable as homos)
2. 94 interception game (why keep throwing?)
3. 2008 bama (just throw it away, jarret)
4. 2009 bama (no breaks)
5. 2006 ref gate (the back judge in position, who threw the flag, gets overruled by the line judge. wtf?)

No team has ever played a perfect game. That's why you don't have to play a perfect game to win. You only have to play well enough to score more points than the opponent. If you do that, but the ref's calls steal enough points from you that you don't have more than the opponent, the ref's calls lost the game for you.

You took the words off my keyboard. What a waste of talent. That forever cemented Dale Brown as a looser to me. I don't care what his accomplishments were and how great a recruiter he was, it all means nothing if you can't win one national title with a team like that. Hell, Brady did better with far less talent.
30 (or 28, to lazy to look up) straight losses in Tiger Stadium to Bama are my number one.

The auburn game of 2006 and the goat frick ole miss game last year. both reinforces some of my disgust of leslie.

Losing to Miami-Ohio and UAB would be up there. Blowing the huge lead in B'ball to UK would as well.

4. 2008 Arkansas Game--

LSU’s Tremaine Johnson was called for unnecessary roughness with Arkansas about to face fourth down and about 30 from deep in its own territory. Later in the drive, LSU defensive lineman Rahim Alem was called for unsportsmanlike conduct for kicking the ball off the field after the play was over, which gave the Razorbacks another first down

Way too many people claim refs lost the game when thier team loses (not just LSU fans)
2006 Auburn - Kicked thier arse up and down the field, scored 3 points!
2009 Alabama - make a frikin' play on a slip screen to Julio Jones. Most people say the int/non-int was the reason for the loss. Yet they forget that the call did not actually take points off the board. LSU STILL would have had to score, which wansn't a given, to retake the lead.
Dick Murphy (or another LSU RB) got a pretty generous spot on one of the 4th downs against Fla. in 2007. Good/bad calls find a way of balancing themselves out.
With that said, my top 5
1. Laying a complete egg in the 2006 Final Four aganst UCLA. Its almost like we didn't even show up.
2. 2005 Tenn.
3. 1997 Ole Miss
4. 2008 Arkansas
5. 2009 RUNAWAY SEC champs as an #8 seed in North Carolina vs UNC

1 Auburn 04 BS penalty
2.Peterson Int. -- not the worst but I was really pissed
3. The general crappy performance against La Tech because I was showing of LSU football to family from out of state
4. Ole Miss game 09
5. LSU being denied credit for 03 Championhship
My father in law passed away unexpectedly the day of Auburn 06 and I've never cared to watch any of that game so I've never actually seen the PI call.

Someone finally brings up that GD Indiana basketball game in '81.
And I am a bigger football fan but that one really ticked me off.
