1. Les Miles being hired as head coach. Didn't understand the hire then and still don't understand it considering the money LSU had then.
2. Saban leaving like he did
3. Phantom PI against AU
4. Ole Miss/Penn State embarrassment
5. Bama/Florida getting constant calls the entire year in the SEC. It wasn't just the robbed PP INT, if you watched their games, they had by far the most controversial ref games. Its like the SEC favored them because they had the best chances to make a NC appearance, which is obviously huge money... Those are just recent things that popped in my mind first. Probably worse if I think about it.
Well put

In no particular order:
-- Losing to Ole Miss in 1986. OK, losing to Ole Miss in anything, EVER!!!
-- The referee-aided loss at Auburn in 2006.
-- Losing to Tulane in a driving rainstorm in November of 1984 (or '83, too lazy to look it up).
-- Blowing a 2nd half lead to Indiana in the Final Four in the early 80s.
-- Losing to Arkansas on a stinkin' miracle play in 2002 to keep us out of the SEC title game. Of course, that play shouldn't have mattered since the Hogs' fullback was STOPPED DEAD COLD short of the goal line on 4th down earlier in the game by Brady James but he was given the TD anyway. James' feet were at the goal line and he was leaning forward. NO WAY was that a TD.

The fact that we had exactly zero winning seasons in football during my tenure at LSU.
After that, it was a blessing to at least be competitive under Dinardo.

Top 5 LSU sports-related things you've been pissed about ...
1) Losing Nick Saban.
2) Hindsight 20-20 - losing to Auburn in 2006 7-3 when we were clearly the better team. That was a national title caliber team.
3) 2007 Arkansas loss in 3 OT (if we Pitt does not STUN West Virginia later that week, there is no NC.)
4) The 1999 season...The Booty FAIL @ BAMA, the MSU running back that crawled in on 4th and goal for the GW TD, the UGA missed 2-pt conversion, the embarrassing 31-5 home loss to UK.
5) Losing to Rice in the 1961 season opener. Should have won the NC that year.

Are you implying that the SEC office instructs the refs to skew games in favor of the teams with the highest chance to make the NC game to maximize revenue? The SEC is the best conference in college football, they don't need to cheat to make an extra buck, because Mike Slive is all class, he wouldn't sink so low...

Kept us out of the SECCG and NCG, IMO.

this....bigtime. clear and undeniable proof that $EC refs were protecting Bama's bcs standing. in the $EC money talks...and integrity walks.

1) anytime the football team loses no matter who is coaching.
2) every loss in basketball when Shaq, Stanley Roberts, and Chris Jackson were on the same team.

Has to be the blown 21 point halftime lead vs ut. Living in tennessee for the day after that happened was the worst day ever. I was so pissed. I was in middle school back then and i remember it being a monday game so during the tuesday morning announcements they gave a big congrats to the volunqueers
But i got the last laugh because that year they didn't even go to a bowl game

In terms of length and severity of impact...
1. Miles' ill advised new contract
2. Brady's new contract after the Final Four
3. Smoke replacing Skip (or should it be Skim?)
4. Saban leaving for the NFL
5. Mark Emmett leaving for Washington

What pissed me off about that game WASN'T the refs. It was LSU'S piss poor offensive execution. 5 times inside the 50 and ZERO points. Thats what lost the game for them.
It's hard to get points when you complete a pass for the first down on 4th and 1, but the refs say you didn't catch it. It's hard to get points when you get down to the opponent's 30 or so, but a lying ref says you were holding. It's hard to get points when your receiver is tackled in the end zone and no PI is called, and then another receiver is tackled at the 10 and again no PI is called. We legitimately scored about 17-20 points in that game, but had all but three stolen by the refs.

The offense still played horrible. I just don't like to say the REFS lost the game for us. Way too many people on here think that EVERYTIME LSU losses its cause of the refs.
