i check that site out every now and then. usually after LSU does something noteworthy just to get their reaction.

most of the people in that thread that are picking them to win it all do it with the thought "well the saints did it so why can't we???"

I just was stating some facts. I even said that they can not win it all with the current coaching staff.

yea, they actually beat LSU last year. They also took 2 of 3 from USM in hattiesburg, and they were a CWS team as well.

Did they even make the tournament last year?

As I recall, they were all pissed because they were left out, even though every team that made it as a at-large had a better record/resume

No, they did not make the tournament last year. But to say they didnt have a good resume is not really true. They went 1-1 vs Nat'l Champs LSU, they took 2 of 3 vs USM in the regular season who went to the CWS, and took 2 of 3 vs ECU who went to supers. I'd say thats a top 35 or so team.

This will be the best team that they have had there minus the 2005 team. And by years end it may be just as good as that team.

But I do not think that the team will be good enough to overcome Rick Jones and win it all this year.

You either dont remember how good that 2005 team was or you have not seen any of the players on this years team. The 2005 team had 3 or 4 guys who may end up on MLB opening day rosters this year. They had 2 dominant 2 way players. This years team might start 5 freshman. They won't be anywhere near as good as the 2005 team, and if they are then those people who think they will win it all really arent as crazy as some of you think. Although, like i said, they wont be as good as 2005.

And wow, you're comment about Rick Jones makes absolutely no sense at all. He is probably the best thing to ever happen to Tulane. He has taken them to 2 CWS and is the coach of the only Tulane team that has any sort of real fan interest.

Good for them. They still have fans supporting their programs.

Why the need for this thread?

LSU is the defending national champions. LSU has a solid team this year. Texas might still be a problem though; they look very solid; CSF being good is never a positive for LSU, usually, we suck against them.

Why is Tulane worth a thread? Best of luck to them.

The Tigers have bigger fish to fry.
