Which for the rant means it will be treated like the most important game of the year, but I hope LSU treats it like the Wednesday game that it is.

Hope the players don’t have the same attitude. For their sake it would be cool if they took the whole tournament serious.

Personally I won’t lose my mind regardless of the outcome, but would like to see them get their confidence back and play well going into the post season.

Yeah we will have the usual people coming on here if we play bad and get our butt kick saying the same thing. It’s a glorified mid week game. Let’s play bad and go home. I am sure we will flip a switch and win the regional and super.

Not saying play bad, just saying don't pitch your best.

Imagine losing to SC after talking all that shite about a game 3 against them though.

Not today you don’t but you keep them on a normal rotation. I personally want to see Hurd, Skenes, Floyd, and Colmen get starts.

The people who actually have control over how LSU plays in this thing all want to win it, I assure you

Because idiots keep saying we should start Floyd or even fricking Skenes on short rest.

Jay said LSU has already done what they need to do and he's using this week to setup for next week.

Why? I think pitchers skipping a start would be a bad thing for their routine. No one is going to be over used, or tired for the regional because of this tournament. All starters will have more rest before the regional than they usually get. I don't see what all the fuss is about when it comes to our pitchers and rest. As for the rest of the team, they should be happy with the extra, non pressure work. And obviously, if anyone has the slightest bit of fatigue, minor injury, etc. sit them out and give them rest.

ETA: and I'm not saying pitch anyone on short rest. That would be stupid. I would think whoever starts tomorrow will be who JJ starts next Friday. Then pitch Skenes on Thursday, he won't pitch again until next Saturday. Then Floyd on Friday, he won't pitch until next Sunday.

What?

Floyd or Skenes pitching tomorrow would be taking them out of their routine.

Well people are saying we should because "we need to beat South Carolina", hence the creation of this thread.

Ahhh, I gotcha. No, that would be stupid. Give Skenes and Floyd their usual 6 days rest, have them on a reasonable pitch count, regardless of the situation or outcome and all should be good for the regional.
