Probably not... Although I still believe they would have been 11-2... maybe beating Auburn and losing to Ole Miss/Arkansas

Also said that he told Miles 14 times last season that he was just "giving" JJ the ball and that he hadn't earned it.
not surprising at all
the players arent stupid, they see the exact same thing we see on the field, and obviously a lot more and practice and whatnot. they know damn well jefferson did nothing to earn playing time and i said all season long that players were going to lose faith in les if he stuck with jefferson. luckily it didnt implode the team, but i definitely think it caused a lot of internal tension.

Miles isn't going to sit a senior two year-starter at QB for 1st year Soph in the program.
Just like Les doesn't play Freshmen.
Signed,
The 23 True or Redshirt Freshmen that played this past year.

There wasn't much of an alternative.

He didn't play poorly IMO. 2009 would have been a better example.

All I know is that no one on this board and very few people in the country can do the job Coach Miles has done. If you don't think so, look back at LSU's own history. Look past Saban.
I mean, it always looks so clear to me what the coach should do, but if I or any other Yahooo took on the job, it would be an epic fail.
That's why I love LSU and love this board. Ain't nothing like it in the United States.
Go Tigers!!

I don't think Lee would have been a worse passing option than JJ last year. When Lee didn't start after the UF game, I knew there was nothing he could do to unseat JJ.
Lee really didn't play that well after the FL game.

LSU would have beaten Auburn had Lee started? Lee played poorly in that game.

You have independent confirmation of this? Where is this massive loss of faith in Miles you speak of? How was it demonstrated during the season?

You have evidence to back this up? You do have independently verified evidence don't you? How was this tension revealed?
Thank you.

Wouldn't shock me. TT's stats were insanely better with JL in the game, minus the Cotton Bowl.
Posted on 2/23/11 at 7:02 pm to Holla4aDolla
He was "giving" JJ the ball because his alternatives were inferior. Until someone can make a case based on facts, not bias, as to why JL should have been starting instead, this is a conversation about nothing.

Ok so this source collects autographs and that qualifies him as an expert?

So much for the good friend angle. You would think if this source had such hot information and you being a good friend that he would have contacted you immediately.

How many days have they worked out? When? Where?
Just tell us. Prove it to us, that's all.

Oh come on man!! You can't possibly be this naive or expect us to be. Nobody ever invents stuff?

Thank you for that. You have provodided no proof that: 1. This guy has any real information, or that 2. he actually exists. or 3. that any of this ever happened.
But you do expect us to just openly believe this?
Plase dont insult us. But I do thank you for insulting me personally. It reveals the weakness of your postition.

Lee CLEARLY outplayed Jefferson in the Tennessee and Florida games, and that was after 4 other bad games from Jefferson
those are stone cold facts

What makes you think Miles stuck with JJ? Sure he remained the starter because Miles wasn't dumb enough to disrupt the flow of a winning season and switching starting qb's mid-season could have definately done that. I see JL's major playing time and significant series of running our offense a direct reflection of Miles not sticking with JJ. Miles definately lost faith in JJ this year and needed JL to carry our offense at times. 2009 JL didn't get anything but mop up duty and that is an example of Miles standing by JJ.

Fair enough. But there is a reason based on practical experience that, in a legal context, hearsay evidence (taking person #1's statement as to what person #2 said as evidence of the truth of what #2 said--as opposed to the fact that #2 said it) has been viewed for centuries as unreliable at best, and in most cases flatly not to be given credence at all. I understand that message boards are about as far as you can get from sworn testimony, except maybe for meetings of the Liars Club, but the rule has its roots in the reality that "A said that B said" tends to be worthless.

I think that Miles stuck with JJ because he knows more about football and about these two young men and about his team than I do. Or that you do for that matter. So I trust his judgment.
Generally speaking the two of them have different but complimentary styles. The result show that Miles made a pretty darn good decision.
