Well we out manned and physically dominated USCe. Welcome to the SEC homey.

We got out-manned and physically abused by a mediocre Florida squad. Alabama is better in every single facet of the game, but I guess since we are playing at home and at night all is good in the world
Now, you're getting it.

If LSU has a prayer in this game, their offense at least just needs to stay on the field for 2 or 3 first downs at a time.

Have you seen a single thing this year that leads you to believe that will happen?

while I agree with this...

They both played in the last 2 matchups. I wouldn't look for many 5 steps drops anyway. While Mingo holds the advantage on paper on passing plays, fluker holds that advantage on paper on running plays. Catch 22

Totally agree with this statement.

Maybe. Mingo can get off a run block. Either way, the difference in the game will be on negative plays, not ordinary off tackle runs.

In more detail, if Mingo can beat Fluker on 3rd downs (4+ to go) and get a few sacks, maybe force a fumble or two it could be a game changer. Our DEs have to get pressure in this game to get Bama's O off the field, Mingo has the most consistent chance of making that happen.

Meh, he's good at what he does, stretching the field

will be a great player but there have been times this year when he disappears

ordinary off tackle runs can move the chains and keep a defense on the field.

absolutely, this is true in any game though. I suspect that if either of our tackles have a problem early on that Mike Williams will be left in to block, he's essentially a light tackle at 6'6" 270. That eliminates an extra receiver but it also elimnates the rush, so it would really be a wash in that case

This from a guy who said Al Woods was a top 5 pick as a sophomore over Glen Dorsey

Of course Bama looks good on film. We played a more difficult schedule so far. Bama looks unstoppable against those sorry arse teams.

and lsu has looked pedestrian against several sorry arse teams, not sure I get the "they haven't played anybody" argument. Who you've played has no correlation to the talent on a roster

I know people around here hate it but we share a similar mindset. However, I won't be on here bashing Les, the players, and the coaches after the game. With all the injuries and everything that has gone on with this years squad I think 10-2 is a damn fine season.

I agree. I think 10-2 with the injuries and qb play is about as good as anyone could expect.

I was talking about mcshay saying what he saw on film. We have played 3 ranked teams and a team that knocked off two ranked teams. Florida and USCe has athletes that are just as good as LSU's. Of course we'll look like we are inferior to Bama because we have played better competition. Bama on the other hand hasn't played anyone that matches their talent level IMO.

So by this logic Oregon would dominate the hell out of Alabama right?

Not full strength. He has an ankle injury.

With a better secondary this time we should have more time to get to McCarron and get sacks.
