So he is an LSU alum, and worked with conservative darling Clarence Thomas... so ya'lls only problem with him is the type of law he practiced and the way he looks? I am 1000% pro Wade and anti-Alleva, but you guys are willing to do anything to dog whistle your way into political points against JBE and that is just sad.

-Not sure you're aware but ambulance-chasers do not retain a good reputation in the legal profession and for good reason
-Represented (Ferguson) Michael Brown's friend who articulated the bullshite that Brown raised his hands in surrender when the facts obviously proved different
-Represented Mary Landrieu (Dem) in the residence controversy in 2014 despite she and her husband basically lived in DC and her main residence listing amounted to her parents' house which she visited every once in a while it was all total bullshite and she got off because she has a D next to her name
-Served as clerk to Bernette Johnson (Dem) and represented her in the Chief Justice controversy in front of an Obama judge and won (obviously good forum shopping, no surprise there)

Outside of the Clarence Thomas collaberation, everything about this dude screams ambulance-chasing, leftist hypocrite who cries racism despite that he likely possesses thousand-dollar cufflinks, drives an expensive car, lives in a mansion, went to a great law school, etc it's all a load of horse manure with this turd and bringing LSU down as well

There shouldn’t be, but there is.. which I think was what he was working to change.

James M. Williams is a nationally recognized trial attorney who has litigated cases in 15 different states. He is one of the “Nation’s Top One Percent” of attorneys according to the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. He has been named a “Super lawyer” by the rating service that recognizes the top 5 percent of lawyers in each state. He has also been selected to the “Top 100 Trial Lawyers” by the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a society to which only one half of one percent (0.5%) of American lawyers are invited to belong. In addition, Williams has been certified as one of the “Top Trial Lawyers in America” by the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Referred to as “rescue counsel” by some of the top 10 largest companies in the world, Williams is often hired as trial counsel to be implanted into existing high stakes and problematic litigation. His litigation success on behalf of businesses caused him to be one of only seven lawyers inducted into the inaugural class of the New Orleans CityBusiness magazine “Hall of Fame.” It also earned him a six-year stint on the board of directors for the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce.

Translation - Defendants hire him when they have a predominately black jury.

I’m not going to lie, when I saw where he went to law school I was very impressed. It still doesn’t mean he should be in that position at LSU. He seems to have an agenda.

All these "top lawyer" organizations he lists are money raising scams, not the nonprofit, respected organizations that truly exceptional lawyers aspire to be recognized by.

Washington & Lee? A decent 2nd tier law school.#34 in US News rankings, FWIW.

There is not one shread of evidence that James Williams or any BOS member has intervened against WW or Smart. Not one shread.

Alleva is leaking all kinds of crap to try to deflect and cover his butt. FKA and Alleva are responsible for this mess, administratively.
